Visited January 2014, a tourist trap if there ever was one, but manages to keep a good ambiance. Big, beautifully decorated, with halls and rooms. Serves only Flekovsky Tmavy Lezak but thatís enough - a great beer and a great setting. Who needs more? Low rating because thereís no selection really.

Visited everal times since 2005, latest visit was Tuesday early, May 26, 2015. Got there around 10:55.
Me and two friends sat down just for a beer each, didnít eat and didnít stay long. Not as crowded as many other times, also fast service for the beer and not as pushy as usual per the Becherovka that we donít want. Easy and fast to pay after.
Beer wasnít as fantastic as I remember it, acutally it was sort of bland and just OK. Not sure if theyíve changed the recipe, Iíve changed my preference or an old beer/bad taps. With the turnover Iíd say not likely an old beer and Iíd guess also not likely bad cleaning of taps. My hunch is theyíve changed teh recipe and/or brew process since the way it was when I fell in love with this beer.
Very touristy place, still worth getting to at least once. Very centrally located, easy walk from e.g. Lazarska.

Earlier text from earlier visits:
Iíve visited U Fleku once, when I was in Prague for one week in May of 2005. I will be going to Prague again in less than two weeks time and have booked a dinner and a guided brewery tour of the pub brewery for our group.
Last time I can remember trying only one beer of theirs, the "dark". I donít think they have any other beers, but with that quality, who needs more?
A bit split about what to put under selection, they only have one beer, so selection is very poor, but the one they have is excellent, so what to say?
Food is very nice too, and good sice portions of that.
The place is very bit pricy compared to many non-tourist places in Prague, but itís worth a visit and Iíd say itís pretty much mandatory to visit it at least once when in Prague.
Can get quite crowded, so might be a good idea to make reservations or come as small groups (or alone).
Visits to the brewery is possible, but make resevations to be sure, specially if you want the guide to be able to do the tour in English.
If the waitors comes with glasses of Becherovska and you donít want it, tell them fast, or youíll end up paying for it anyway.
A bit confusing since one guy handles beer, another food, a third the becherovska and a fourth the payment. Once you get the hang of that itís easier to follow who you should try and get the attention from.

Tourist central and the prices match. The beer is excellent and worth the trip. Nice traditional beer halls with musicians wandering around helping you part with cash. Shots are also foisted upon you which are extra. Worth a visit for the beer and venue to say youíve been but after that wouldnít rush back.

Although many consider it a toursit trap, the place is real good, as well as the beer. They have just one - dark, but itís the real deal.
