I was really excited for this place but it is kind of, nearly, a total let down. The food was good but the service was slow, terrible, and almost all the waiters looked pissed to have to wait on us. We went there for the house beers but you can’t order the house beers on the restaurant side. You can only get Budvar light or dark. I like Budvar so it wasn’t a major disappointment to have it with dinner but it was still very annoying. Especially since at the tables they advertise all of their beers. After dinner we went to the pub and was let down once again. For all the shirts, table signs, etc, that advertised the X33, I was not able to have any. If you don’t have it on or bottles of it, please reign in the advertising of it. Had the 1466 and Oldgott on tap. Both were manageable but neither were that exceptional. I’m not knocking points off for the very smoky atmosphere because that is normal for the area, but it was annoying. Overall, mediocre. If you are nearby it is worth a stop in for a glass of beer, otherwise scroll past.

Average ambiance. Not so well service, disregards. Only Oldgott and 1466 on tap. Very high prices. Money factory.

Very strangely divided pub, where their own beers are served on 2nd floor. Long journey but worth. Beers are OK, staff very friendly and polite. If you are lucky enough, you can speak with brewer. Recommended place.

Just over the bridge from our hotel in Prague, so a good location and plenty of space, nice decor, etc. Busy place for a Tuesday night and the single server was swamped, but very professional. Got a few of the standard house beers + seasonal, but unfortunately the X-33 hard already kicked for the day. I’ll be stopping by tomorrow as I was assured they’d have more. Decent beer, with a limited but perfected repertoire. Would recommend if you’re in the area (though that rec depends on how good the 33 is). We didn’t try any food. The other thing is that the beer is really cheap here. The X-33 is only the equivalent of ~$5 per .4L, and the house beers are about half that for .5L (and this is considered on the high end here?). I love this city.

Huge Brewpub in the old town of Prague. Go to the 2nd floor where the brewery is. 3 beers on tap, nice and fresh. Service was abit slow at times, but on the other hand they where busy becourse there was a huge party having lunch next to us. Didnt eat. And sadly no X33 at our visit

Visited the second floor (the actual brewpub section, don’t stay on the ground floor). 2 Classic Czech beers on tap. Service was a bit timid but efficient enough. Didn’t try any food. The beers were good quality and the prices were fair. Really awesome to see the open krausening vats of beer as you drink. As with any place in Prague, watch out for loud drunk Russians.

Das Budweiser aus dem Tank ist ein Gedicht! Das Original Böhmische, deftige Essen passt wie die berühmte Faust dazu. Preis-Leistung sehr gut. Ein Juwel der Prager Gastronomie!

In the centre of Prague 1. I was in the bar part but I’m aware there’s a next door where things probably are completely different. I went for the x33. The pub was small and made of wood. They were pumping hits of the 90’s on VH1. I got my beer. It was alright. I don’t really have any urge to go back though.

Very nicely arranged place in strict center of the city. Trip to the Habsburg times to enjoy good beer in, say, 17th ct. ambiance. A must to feel the spirit of Prague. Beers are good, BUT evening was not the happiest time selection. Pre-paid supper came with some macro beer and waiter wasn’t too eager to let me order their own beer. So after two tries I didn’t. Live music is awful, some brass band between the tables, over our heads, that irritating that brain hurts, oh so popular in some restaurants in this city. Our table had to pay them to go away. Dishes were good but small and expensive, kinda expectable for location, where you can get easily ripped off in restaurants. So, to summarize, go there at the afternoons, have their beers, don’t eat, enjoy the atmosphere, walk around the place to see tons of breweriana. I’ll do that properly next time.

This place is pretty cool. it is a shame we only stayed for 1 beer. We went all the way to the back in the tiny single hall where they serve X33. Food looked good and our waiter was a lot of fun. Could have stayed here for hours.
