Love this place; especially the small brewery onsite upstairs in the back (also a hotel?) Visited in 2009 and 2012. Huge beerhall with solid czech food standards and a small beer bar with more variety and quest beers (all of the Budvar styles including their yeast beer). A classic must visit in Prague.
It was late in the evening so I can’t remember much. Came here to watch Liverpool FC suck in UEFA Europa League final (damn!). Whole place looked like some kind of big lounge. Staff was sleepy or tired. Need to come back.
Large place which consists of several different rooms. Was a bit surprised that in the room next to the street they pour only Budweiser. If visiting head straight to the brewery room which is located deeper into the building. They serve their beers and food there and you can enjoy them while inhaling odours from the brewing process.
Nice atmosphere. They unfortunately had only 2 of their beers, which are good. Haven’t tryed food, but it looked good. Sevice is fine, little bit slow, but there were many guests. It’s worth visiting if you don’t want to go too far from city center.
Great traditional Czech restaurant/microbrewery! Central location, very fresh beer (but limited selection), amazing food, good prices. A must visit when in Prague!
P.S: Ask for the brewery tour upstairs and make sure to try Little Bear (very nice, clean honey beer) if available.
