A few blocks to walk from the closest tram stop (26). Beautiful place with a lovely old style interior. Nine beers on tap and the selection is quite interesting. Service is good and English works ok. Did not eat but food looked good.

Loved this place, got the bus out to it on 7th Oct 2014 and did not regret the effort to find it. Mixed clientele of mostly locals, all ages, some with dogs. Tap room, where you can smoke opens up into a large oblong with a raised area at the rear and a smaller box room to the left for any overflow: needed on our visit. Beer menu on the tables does not keep up with the tap rotation, so check what you have actually been given because they don’t seem to care too much, just something in the style you ordered appeared to be the basic rule. The check lists your beers and they did not tally with what I had ordered, correct number and costs, just different names on two of the brews and six beers named in such a way I could not find them to rate. My wife and I ate here and it was the best meal we had over the week in Prague. The whole place is a joy to drink in and the prices are super low for such quality of food and beer. Staff pleasant and busy, just make sure you see the actual beer name above the tap rather than use the menu card on your table!

Really nice looking place, seems to be an old hall of some kinds, very authentic and stylish. With 12 taps there was plenty to drink, all local beers. Food was just fine, we enjoyed our meals. Staff was relatively friendly but like most venues we’ve visited in Prague not very chatty. Prices are just great. Worth the trip.

Nice selection of Czech beers in Zizkov. Did not eat. I thought they had Kout na Sumave on tap. They didn’t. I had a beer in the tap room standing up. Old fashioned decoration, but not as smoky as some places I went to. I would go back for sure.

The service was great -- both bartenders were very attentive and friendly.
The beer hall is quite a boring rectangular box. Beer selection was not overwhelming at all and only first one (forgot the name -- unfiltered ležak) tasted OK.. One other tasted just awfully, Zeleny Zaic was OK but nothing special. The wizen was quite plain.
Overall, nothing special and does not secure the travel... Well, walking through the tunnel from metro is a cool experience.

A traditional Czech restaurant just outside the most touritstic areas, easy to reach with public transport. Very good selection of Czech beers, excellent, tasty food in big portions, good service.

A wonderful old Czech Beer Hall just a short way out of the city. It looks as though it hasn’t changed in 50 years and I love the pics from the 60’s uprising around the bar. They have nine taps and lots of food. No bottles as far as I could see. Good service and solid wi-fi. Beers served in 0.3 or 0.5l glasses. Make the trip out of town, it’s worth it. There is a 10 minute walk uphill through the tunnel after getting off the metro, but the journey home is a lot easier. Beers are usually served in authentic glassware which is just as well as you you would have one hell of a job identifying beers without this. The description of a beer on the table is very basic and often contradicts the description on the pump clip.

We visited this place 23.11.2013. Very nice interior, wooden benches, painted walls, hops on the ceiling and traditional pictures from Czech breweries and beers. When entering the restaurant you are passing the wooden bar to your left, they are serving roughly 12 beers on tap, all from Czech microbreweries. All beers served in the appropriate glassware. Very friendly service and good Czech food. All is priced very reasonable. Very good beer experience!
