This place is in a bit of a weird part of the neighborhood. Itís small and intimate, with seating for maybe 30 people. The tap list was actually quite pedestrian, and the bottle list had a couple of interesting beers. Prices were a little high...or a lot high, if youíre interested in bottles. The service was decent, but I likely wonít go out of my way to visit this place in the future. I did like the monitors telling you how much was left in each keg, and which beers were on deck, though. No food.

Nice small and cozy place. Very informative electronic screen. 4 oz pours available (which were actually almost 5 oz pours). Far away from downtown but easily accessible by rapid line bus. In fact bus stop is just front of the bar. Extra points for music. Fireplace also gives nice warm to this place.

A nice quaint bar that has a nice bar fireplace in the middle that sold me completely. Service was OK, i donít remember how good it really was. Selection was pretty good with a few I havenít tried. Bottles to go but no tasting flights. Just a nice place to hand out.

One of my favorite beer bars anywhere in the world. Small joint, odd location on Aurora avenue, but always interesting beers here and a wonderful local vibe. The digital displays are cool, and nifty to see what is coming up next. The option to have a smaller pour is rare in Seattle and very welcome. As far as Iím concerned, this is a must-visit.

Iíve heard of this place through friends before the interior change, I think it lost a little something with upgrade. Small place, interesting fire pit when you walk in. Bright lacquered wood everywhere. Computer tap list, with a the next up. Sadly 2 of the 3 next up were more exciting than anything currently on the board. 16 drafts, 9 of them from WA or OR. The rest were staple Belgianís west coast stuff. The do full pours, 4oz, or growlers, good variety. Crowd seems to be local regulars as they all got chatty with the bar tender. Service was fair, knowledgable but not overly helpful of friendly to non regulars. Bottles were pretty extensive, most impressive part was the big array or Almanac sours. Pretty cool spot that might provide some ticks but I wasnít blown away.

Lots of taps, all with interesting beer. Very small place with a cool, well thought out decor that included an indoor fire pit. Service was friendly and knowledgable. I was able to pick up a stemmed uber tavern glass. They had a digital tap list which I really appreciated.

(Visited 09/2013): ‹ber Tavern is located in the Fremont/Ballard area of northern Seattle on Aurora Avenue and 76th. I am unsure about parking options in the area as I walked, and the place is on a relatively busy street.
The interior opens to some table seating and there is a short bar in the rear. Behind the bar are well-lit coolers which offer a nice view of the bottled options. Above that are digital boards listing the 18 draught beers. There is almost inexplicably a fire-pit in the middle of the place.
On my visit that included beers from Southern Tier, Backwoods, Green Flash and Anacortes. Different sized servings are available. The aforementioned bottled selection is a couple hundred strong and includes Mikkeller, Brouwerij Strubbe, Lost Abbey, HOTD and Cascade.
Service on a weekend afternoon was very good. This is definitely a beer geekís beer bar.
I did not have any food on this visit.
All in all this is in my opinion a must-stop beer destination for visitors to Seattle.

Awesome beer bar no doubt. Wicked beers on tap featuring not just local but Belgian as well such as De Struise. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Sat around the middle table that had a flame crankiní, shooting the shit. Just get here and have a beer man.

A really small place, kind of a dive bar, yet classy inside. Fairly expensive, but truly good bottle selection, all-lined up for your eyesí pleasure behind the bar in fridges. Professional service with just a barman behind the bar. The draught lines are all electronically monitored and well laid out and easy to follow, focusing mostly on local, often rarer alternatives. Reasonable serving sizes letting you enjoy as many different beers as possible. I would probably come back if visiting Seattle, but would look at the beer list first and am not convinced that in spite of its strong reputation, Iíd put it in my Seattle top 2 beer bars. The bottle selection is really, really good though.
