(backlog recollected in abstinence) 2012/09, visited for a downstairs reading/concert. Apparently not too well-knowm in the area, had to ask around until we were standing in front of it. Nice array of regional and East-Coast taps at fair value in this medium-level woolen-cozy hipster dive: Sixpoint, Brooklyn Brewery, Magic Hat. Friendly service. Shame about the plastic cups downstairs, but the solid IPAs almost make up for it.

Finally popped in here while staying in the area recently and getting out for a neighborhood crawl. Itís an absolutely beautiful spot - bookshelves, maps/globes, old leather furniture, fireplaces and low lighting give it an amazing vibe. Some solid craft beer selections, but this isnít really a beer bar per se, itís just an awesome hangout. Beers are well-priced, well-selected and served efficiently. If youíre here, you really need to check this place out - I only wish Iíd spent time here when I lived in the city.

This place had a plenty solid draft list, but nothing amazing for this area. The real gem of the place is the bocce ball courts. Thatís a pretty cool bar feature. It has a very hipster/mid-20s type of vibe and got fairly crowded (though it was a Saturday night, so I expected the crowds). I couldnít go higher then 4 on the ambiance, even though the bocce and the layout are both great, because the patronage has to factor in to that score too. Iíd say get there earlier, beat the crowds, enjoy a solid beer, and play some bocce.

So I finally found this place on my last night in Brooklyn. Great atmosphere for a bar, especially in Park Slope. Very large bar for this neighborhood with indoor boche ball courts and a basement that has bands and comedians from my understanding. Also has a nice little section with bookshelves, fireplaces, and large leather couches which makes for a nice ambiance given the dimly lit area. Bar fits about 20 or stools and bartenders provided good service, but did not seem overly knowledgeable of beer not that it really matters at this type of place. 12 taps of mostly regional and local offerings. Nothing rare, but a solid selection. Food was very good and prices were reasonable for the area. Would stop in often if I lived in the area.

One of the best atmospheres Iíve ever experienced in a bar. Low-lit, wood paneled, bookshelves for old library feel in front, bocce courts in back part of the room. Crowded, but pleasant crowd of all types. Lots of $5 drafts, better than I expected for NYC. More well-known microbrews from around the country on tap- Goose Island, Lagunitas, Brooklyn (duh), Stone, and others. Live music sometimes, but I was there on a Friday and whoever had their iPod on shuffle has great taste. Excellent experience all around.

Extremely cool! Way cool. Bocce (2 courts). The beer list sucks ass, though: hoegaarden and about 30 other run-of-the-mill microbrews. Go here for the decor: couches by the doorway arranged near bookshelves to look like someoneís office. Big space nooks and crannies (plus booths). Came here with my good buddy LordErasmus, but got stuck drinking a Coney Island Lager for lack of a better option. Ugly waitstaff.

I was there for the first time tonight, I didnít even know it was there. I walked in and this place is huge. I checked out the tap list and they have some nice beers on. They have Goose Island IPA, Blue Point Summer, Goose Island Honkers, Lagunitas and others. They also had the other regulars but no Budweiser, I didnít see that. They had a nice bottle list too. They have games. They have Boccee Ball. They have an outdoor patio. I believe this place just opened. I really liked this place. It was clean and big. They also have a lot of different books inside. Nice place. Definitely worth a visit.
