This is an odd place. In a residential neighborhood, street parking. Interior looks like an old deli. Tiny bar (4 stools?), a small counter, a handful of tables. Just their six core beers on offer. But the thing here is the bottle sales. There were stacks and stacks of boxes of sour beers. More like a bottle shop, then, than a brewpub, although all the bottles are reserved.

A small tasting room tucked away on the side of the road has a coffee shop vibe. Five drafts provide an opportunity to drink a variety of Upland beers although lacking from the list are any sours or other special releases. You can pick up any bottles you have won in a lottery which may be the only reason I would come here instead of going to the other location.
A decent local hangout should not be a destination unless you happen to be driving to or from Broad Ripple to downtown. A short detour will take you right past here. If pressed for time though you could safely skip it and not have missed anything notable in the local scene.

(Visited 05/2014): The Upland Tasting Room is located on N College Ave on the north side of Indianapolis. Street parking is plentiful in the surrounding area.
The interior of the brick building is fairly small, with wooden tables along the right side and a walk up counter/bar. Behind that are the restrooms and some storage. Large front windows let in a lot of light, and the walls are lime green and orange. Behind the counter is a chalk board listing the beers on tap.
The beer list consists of around 6, and on my visit it included standards like Dragonfly and Bad Elmer along with seasonals like a Berliner Weiss and Maibock. The beers are all pretty good especially the seasonals.
Service right at opening on a Saturday was pretty good. The bartender was friendly and provided samples along with facilitating bottle pick ups.
Food is not available at the tasting room.
Overall this place isnít really designed for a long visit but it is a good quick place to stop in for a growler or a pint of Upland beer.

Came in to pick up a few bottles. Place is small. Smaller than a neighborhood pub. Service can be challenged if a few people come in.

Stopped in here quickly to pick up some sours for some lottery winners (not me) and decided to have a sampler. 6 taps, including Wheat and 5 rotators. Iíd only had Wheat and Dragonfly before. A couple were surprisingly good, the other two new-to-me ones were so-so. No menu, just some pretzels available. The place is a storefront on College, and it feels like a small sandwich shop or cafe. Cozy. Bike-friendly, so theyíre getting some BROnus points from me for that. Friendly staff, very helpful with bottle pickup and everything else. The beers are very clearly listed on a menu, as well as big info sheets on the front of the bar. Description, ABV, IBU - a RateBeer adminís dream. Overall, nothing too special, but a nice stop in Indy to try a new Upland offering or two.

Nice little place. 6 beers on tap and they offer flights. Awesome staff, very friendly and more than happy to talk beer. Very limited food menu that I did not partake in. Overall, a cool place to grab a pint.

Basically a place to stop in, drink some uplands (either samples or full glasses), grab a sour if there are any still there, and leave. Friendly service, and i got lucky with a couple lambics being available.

Small tap room. Have 6 Upland beers - usually their year-round selections but occasionally with a specialty beer. A nice place to chill with a couple of Upland beers and pretty convenient for Sour pickups but really not a great stop otherwise.

Stopped in on an early Saturday afternoon. This place is on the outskirts of downtown and has a parking lot across the street from it that I believe was shared with the other stores in the building this place is located. I actually was here to pick up bottles won in their sour lottery and that seemed to also be what the majority of customers were there for. I stuck around to try the beers they had on draft and was fairly satisfied. I wish they had something to eat, though. Crackers, popcorn, peanuts, whatever. Anyway, my friend and I had a pretty good time here sampling their beers and drawing on their chalkboard tables.
