Simply Awesome ! Had a relaxing poutine lunch on the back outdoor patio on a beautiful sunny day. Nice shade tree, amazing staff with great knowledge of the beer they are serving and willingness to help you find the beer you looking for. Atmosphere is top notch and has a few different options from sitting at the bar to sitting in a open walled indoor seat to lounging outside with the sound of a local playground in the background ! Loved this place and wish I never left !

probably the best beer bar in the world to sample the widest variety of quebecoise beers. in the summer, the back yard is wonderful. in the winter, after skating at parc jarry, it’s warm and inviting. since they expanded, it’s a lot easier to get a seat. good prices. attentive waitstaff.

It was February, so nobody sitting outside in the back, but looks like they have a decent amount of space. There’s a few different seating/dining areas, but we sat at the bar in what I assume is the main dining area.
The service was quick and friendly, and they speak English well, for travelers like myself. I didn’t ask too much about the beer or anything, but they seemed to know what they were doing.
The draft list is impressive. Seemed like about 40 beers on draft and there were a couple special bottles, including a special barrel aged offering from Dieu du Ciel. Beers are served in good condition as well. The beers are mostly from Quebec but also a good selection from around Canada in general.
This place really is top notch. Highly worth a visit if you are in Montreal. Arguably even more worthwhile than Dieu du Ciel.

Great because immense list of local beers, and can order 1/4 pint ’gallopins" or even a ’carousel’ of 6 x 4oz samples of anything. VERY friendly and oriented to the appreciation of beer. They always have some special stuff on, and while house beers are good, they offer a wide range of (sometimes rarely-seen) selections.
I think I had a snack or two that were forgettable, but the beer, attitude and service and ambiance (student, warm, relaxed) all have it here. My numbers speak it all. My love affair only grows with each visit.
If you arrive before 3pm opening, wander up St Denis to the beautiful Italian area for some Espresso or a bite to eat. Gorgeous area. Metro Subway station Castelnau lands you perfectly a few blocks north of it.

What a great place to drink, visited for an extended session, had 15 of the 33 offerings on tap from Quebec micros. Our waiter was really great and we had the smoked meat sandwich "the classic" if you visit from outside Quebec I think you have to order that. The Quebec brewers have not ingested the hop mania that the US is currently in the
midst of. I attended
a real ale festival in SE Michigan a
couple weeks ago and half of the 26
casks were Ipa or imperial Ipa. Had a great cream ale here, lots of good selections, this is a must visit. Also near the metro.

My new favourite place in Montreal Stunning 29 tap list, all Quebec and mostly all very good (from what I sampled and saw). Great interior - like Volo in Toronto with higher ceilings and twice the space. Clean, well lit, nice bar. Good snacking foods. Beers in great condition (did not try the cask). Montreal finally has a beer bar! And based on this selection and service, it will be hard to top. An easy 15-20 minute walk (or 5 minute cab ride) from DDC.
