This place is pretty awesome. I wish that there was something like this nearer to home. We made reservations for 5:15 via OpenTable. I received a very pleasant confirmation call the morning of our reservation. Due to our own error we ended up being about 5 minutes late for our reservation, but thankfully our table was still ready and we were promptly seated. The first thing that I noticed is that this place is hopping and it was still quite early for the Saturday night dinner crowds.
Having two kids in tow, one 2 and one 6, I was worried that this place would not be good for them (this according to the yelp profile), boy was I wrong. The kids menu is great, both in its selection and its prices. The service was very accommodating to kids. As those with kids probably know, go early. Bringing kids to a 7pm Sat night dinner is not the wisest idea.
On to the food. Ordered a bucket of duck fat fries to start. Yum yum. The heady aroma of rendered duck fat hits immediately with a good backing of rosemary and truffled salt. My wife ordered the amazing "mushroom and swiss" kobe burger. This was the star of the night for me. A truly wonderful burger. From the perfect brioche to the perfectly charred on the outside, red and meaty on the inside patty, and the gruyere acting as the swiss. No ketchup needed here! I ordered the America Dip which was quite good, though not as good as the burger. As for libations, the draft list is pretty damn awesome and the prices are quite decent. All the beer was served in nice glassware (even a snifter for an Imperial Stout).
Service is top notch all around. Attentive without being overbearing. Prices are extremely fair for what seems to be quality ingredients that are prepared with care and not just thrown onto a plate shoved out of the kitchen door. This is all the more amazing given how busy the place was.
Overall I highly recommend Victoria Gastro Pub. I think that the owners are really onto something and would love to see a restaurant like this in the Northern Virginia suburbs, it would certainly succeed and we really need it.

Cask beers offered are great, Beer nights are great. Service can vary. Keeping track of beer sampler on Clipper City Brewing night was beyond the staffs capability.

Fancy interior - dark wood paneling, comfy leather bar stools, polished metal throughout the bar... a lot of rich WASPy folks hanging around drinking martinis and pinot, but the beer selection is actually better than decent. Drafts of Houblin Chouffe and Bear Republic Red Rocket, among others. About 15-20 drafts along with a nice bottle selection (Scherlenkerla Urbock, Olfabrikken Abbey, Mikkeller Black Hole). Bottle prices are spendy, of course. Food is actually really good, and surprisingly the prices aren’t astronomical. The crowd is a bit too much country club for me, but I liked the food and the beer selection is solid.

drafts rotate. On right now- Southern tier choklate, lagunitas imperial red, adventinus, bitburger, kostritzer, old chub, dfh, la chouffe, had corsendonk christmas. and others... Soon will get Harvistons bitter, old engine oil, de glazen torren, adventinus icebock.
