Located centrally smack in the middle of Helsinki and concentrated on Finnish craft beer with decent prices, it’s a pretty nice place to visit. Can be pretty packed on the weekends. Nice enough ambiance and fairly knowledgeable service with - well, not always a smile, but with at least a friendly attitude.

Located pretty much in the heart of Helsinki, this large-ish three-floor pub specializes in Finnish craft beer. It is located in a neighborhood that has a lot of late-night party places, so it can be quite packed on evenings and weekends. Decent selection of Finnish brews, basic pub snacks (with a Finnish twist) food-wise.

Visited when it was -30c out. Warm and they had sahti, from a plastic flagon. And beer. Lots of it. On chalkboards, all Finnish. Pretend to be confused and English and you’ll get £20 worth in samplers before you’ve even started. Not cheap but part of the charm of Helsinki is being fleeced relentlessly, all day, every day. Isn’t it? Sheep’s skulls, clean lines, ambient light. Didn’t eat because I was still living off the 2 day-old toasted cheese and salmon sandwich in Octo’s rucksack. Will pop back for smoked elk one day. Liked it here.

Average sort of modern place, not really my preference. Decent selection of local stuff, and at least I got some sahti here.

Best place for craft beer in Helsinki. Very nice ambiance, friendly and knowledgable staff and lots of finnish micros. Unfortunately, the Lammin Sahti was out. The Reindeer jerky and the smoked elk is absolutely amazing!!!

Somewhat comfortable but the selection leaves much to hope for and it’s not that cheap either.

Very centrally located and quite large bar focused on Finnish microbrews. Unfortunately the selection is quite small and rarely changes. They usually have some Sahti available, and this is a good place to seek for some commonly available Finnish microbrews. Just don’t expect to find any rarities here. Prices are also quite high due to the central location.

Went here across the street after a superb dinner at Kosmos Resto. It was a mild, cloudy night with intermitant light rain and they had some people sitting outside on the patio. Inside was Steve the bartender who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice to talk to. Old oak floors and a nice oak bar. Brass foot rest and draft towers. They had large chalkboards on the walls with their beer list which seemed to be very weighted towards Finland - just what I was looking for! My first brew was a Finnish cask conditioned bitter, the second, a Finnish traditional ale, Sahti, and the third a strong stout, all were draft and microbrewed. They also have a closed off lower bar area which I had to go thru to get to the head.
