A "Vinmonopolet" store with a slightly extended beer selection. Centrally located by the main train station but also jam-packed, especially Friday and Saturday. (Visited December 5th 2014)

This shop has a good selection of beers. 194 presently(see beer menu link. Not as interesting as Vika, but this is right in the middle of Oslo. Next to Vinmonopolet, there’s also Meny, which has a good selection of bottles with 4.7ABV or less. Be advised to enter Oslo City from Jernbanetorget subway station, or you have to walk among thousands of people shopping for clothes.

A fair selection of the commonly available Norwegian beers from Nøgne, Ægir and HaandBryggeriet plus a few others - seems to have the best of the Vinmonopolets in central Oslo. Clearly the focus here is on wine, so the beer placement is not good. Typical prices of 60-70 NOK a bottle.

A rather busy Vinmonopol, which obviously have decided not to aim for the beer market. The selection is below average for this size. And the placement is awful. It seems like they think the only reason anyone would pick up a beer here, is as an afterthought while waiting in line.

A poorer selection than most Vinmonopolets I have been to but slightly better than the small one in Oslo station. I was there in the Friday evening rush do the shelves were getting stripped clean & the service was poor... I get the feeling you got to ask first then they’ll give you advice... I didn’t like that the beer isle was where the two check out lines were. Needless to say searching the shelves got me dirty looks from people waiting in line.

Like most ’Wine monopolies’ in Norway, they focus on wine and liquor, and maintain a tiny selection of beer shoved into a poorly lit corner. Helpful and friendly staff.

Drink center next to the central station of Oslo. Focuss is on wines, but they do have a very nice selection of beer as well. Some Norwegian macro’s and micro’s added with some nice Belgian, American and Britisch ales. Expensive yes, but to Norwegian standards. If you are looking for some bottles in Norway, good place to visit.

Decent selection of beer. Above average of the Vinmonopolet stores in Oslo. Located in the basement of the Oslo City shopping center, right next to Meny (which have one of the best selection of beer below 4,75% ABV.) Convenient location in the city center next to the central station and bus terminal.

Above average vinmonopol selection. Very sentral in downtown Oslo, right next to Meny Oslo City that has a good selectoin of <4.7 ABV beers.
