A fairly long drive from house (around four and a half hours), I arrived on a Saturday afternoon in September with a friend of mine. WOW! The selection was enormous. The store itself seems mainly dedicated to wine but there is a extensive beer selection. Belgians, US micros, aged beers, etc. it kept going on and on. There is also glasses available. The only bad thing about it was the selection available vs. the selection on the website. The website is so outdated that the employeees told us it hadn't been updated in months and that most people placing an order off the website would not be able to obtain the selected beers. Indeed, they listed several Fantome beers on the website and only one or two were there. This was the only drawback. The staff offered to search through the back in case any other Fantome beers were not on display and were very friendly in general. You get a discount for every 24 bottles purchased, which was unknown to me but came as a nice surprise. Worth the trip despite the disappointment, I would recommend it to anyone. The only caveat: call or email before basing anything off of what is offered on the website. |
