Iíve been here several times and Iíll continue going here. A little bit of a commercial suburban feel, but people just hang out here... totally laid back place. Sterile unfortunately, and a bit weird since they added the taps and such... kind of a drunk locals-only feel in a shopping center. Phil (new owner) and Ron (previous owner) are both great guys, very courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local beer scene and distribution. Iíve seen them walk around the store helping wives pick out 6ers for husbands or guys looking for good, inexpensive wine, and for the online beer nuts, they have a cpu set up for easy access. Their selection is top notch with Cantillon Lou Pepes and several unblendeds, many Alesmith, several De Dolle, Struise, Hanssens, Founders, Goose Island, many Stone, many Bells, all the Rochefort, St Ambroise Vintage, most of the JW Lees varieties, most Harviestoun ... pretty much anything Iíve seen between Pgh and Cleveland, and all available for mixed 6er and all at as good of prices as Iíve seen. From my limited experience, Vintage Estate is world class, an absolute must for those within 1-1.5hrs

This rates as the best beer shop Iíve been in. Awesome selection of singles with good pricing on them as well as really friendly and knowledgeable service.

Quite close to a perfect bottle shop, even has taps in the back. Picked up some east and west coast stuff (Alesmith!) that I cannot get in the midwest. Other than family impatiently waiting in the car and a thousand miles to go, couldíve spent part of the afternoon there. Somewhat difficult to find hidden in a strip mall.

Must-stop bottle shop in NE Ohio. Beer prices are excellent, Rochefort for $3.99? Yes, thank you. Ever-changing beer selection makes each visit fresh. Many desirable Belgians in stock (De Dolle, Urthel, Achel, to name a few...) , along with an array of microís from Dogfish and Victory, Three Floyds and Founders, to AleSmith and Great Divide, Ron has the country covered. Outstanding service, easy-to-find location, and large selection make this store a destination to be visited.
*** Update - October 2008 ***
Ron has since left the store, it has been turned over to new ownership. Phil, the new owner, is dedicated to keeping the store going along the same path large bottle selection, great prices, and in-store wine and beer tastings. Iíd look for even more beer-friendly services in the future, Phil knows his stuff!

Stopped here on my way to Wisconsin from North Carolina to the Great Lakes Beer festival in September 2007. Outstanding selection of beer. Service was excellent. I found beers here (Ale Smith, Moylans) that I had not found anywhere else this far east. Worth checking out.

Just about 30 minute drive from my home in New Castle. Definitely worth the trip. Great atmosphere, free wifi and the bar right there was pretty awesome. The selection is one of the best Iíve seen. Definitely will make a trip everytime Iím back in Pa.

Great place all around. Bar to the back is great, as is the growler station. Very good bottle selection with some nice import finds. Good stuff on the draft menu as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Love the glassware case, too. Food is pretty good. Good prices. Great place.

An awesome place worth the drive from Pittsburgh. We have a few bottle shops here with a bigger selection, but this place has more rares and seasonals. Plus they are about 25-50% cheaper than any place in PA. Ron was a great guy who put up with me bringing in my "RateBeer" book to find what I wanted that I couldnít get in PA. It is an hour drive that I will be making regularly (my wife Iím sure is thrilled :))

This place was great...and Ron definitely has the hook up. He had freaking bottles of Yulesmith, Luciernaga, and Dreadnaught just sitting there are on the shelf...what a difference an hour drive makes. Prices seemed very fair (the 3F and JP were very well priced...Alesmith suffered a bit of a mark up...but Yulesmith this time a year...worth every penny). He also had nice selection of some good belgians and tons of other good american craft brews (picked up two founders bourbon breakfast). Overall, this is a great store...I was just as impressed with it as I was with Hi Times in LA. Only downside...nothing over 12% (damn laws)...though he is liscensed as a full bar...so you can open one up while you make some selections ( he will soon have a tap so you can enjoy a draft too).

Worth checking out if you are in the area. But if you really love beer you will have to go to House of 1000 Beers Pittsburgh, PA.
