With out going into great detail about the inventory, I enjoyed nearly all the beers available from microbrews to imports. This is beer heaven and I didn’t have to die to get there. I love the ability to buy one beer as opposed to six that way I’m not stuck with five more if I didn’t like that perticular brew. Besides that it’s great to go in the fridge and have a varity to choose from. Bill A

The trip here from south of PIttsburgh was worth it. Other than a few notables, it wasnít the selection that blew me away. The selection is similar to some of our better bottle shops. It was the prices and service that puts this place head and shoulders above anywhere I have ever been.

This place is exceptional. Without any place like it around, save for Pittsburgh, itís wonderful. You can sample while you shop, the atmosphere is nice, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. Ive seen it go through two owners, and it still hasnt lost any flavor at all. Good selection and easy to get to. A must for anyone who doesnt like the usual watered down American beer.

Stopped here this past Spring, Ron is friendly and helpful, there is a selection of singles on the shelves and in the coolers, many brews available that I cannot buy in Michigan, Moylans, Alesmith, Left hand and many more to chose from, if you are in the area I highly recommend you stop in for a visit.

I have to admit, I am slightly biased as this place just happens to be 4 miles from my house. (and the owner is a good freind of mine)However, I do a ton of traveling and it is definetley the best I have over come across!! He has surpassed the 525 different beers mark and keeps adding!

Talk about a about an incredible gem in the middle of what feels like micro beer hell. The new tasting room is incredible and a lot of fun, plus there is a patio. The service is the best I have seen. Phil took me around the store and introduced me to all the rare and really good stuff he has. He still has a good supply of hop slam ! I didnít find the prices as reasonable as others on this site. I thought they were kind of high. Nothing should stop you from going though.

New rating: Prices have dramatically increased along with the number of employees. Though this place still has the best selection around, you may want to try Chalet down the street for the best prices on the most popular craft & imports. Old rating: Wow, impressive selection of bottled beers. Unlike other beer stores Iíve been to in the Pittsburgh area, all the beers carry their own individual pricing. At other beer stores Iíve been to itís always $3- 5 or more per bottle. Here the prices are much more reasonable. I found many good beers for about $1.50 each! Also, there are many beers here I never see in the beer stores in PA. I started to fill one six pack but ended up with three! The cool thing about it was all three six packs come to $20 without a six pack discount! Ron is a very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly owner. He answers all the rookie questions with patience and caring. I spotted a small bar in the back with at least 6 or 7 hard to get brews on tap. I had a big glass of Breckenridge vanilla porter for only $4!. I also sampled 3 other brews for a minuscule fee, and these were not 1 oz, they were 5-6 oz! Will go back when Iím in Boardman again. If you are in the Youngstown/ East Palestine OH or Darlington PA area, make it a point to stop by. You will not be sorry. This is a great place for anybody who likes beer. If you got a significant other, you can also pick up a bottle of vino too! There really isnít any food there, except beer but, I give Ron a 9 out of 10 because of the hop candy he offered me.

Ron Bush did a great job creating this place. After 4 years, Phil has taken over. The service and dedication to excellent wine and beer is a rare find! Phil is changing the layout since he is now renting the place next door. The "tasting room" as he is unofficially calling it will really add to the ambiance which is somewhat lacking. That is probably the only weakness, and they are actively working on it. I first found this place after visiting Munich in 2007 and drinking Schneider Weisse on tap. I was on a mission to find that greatness again. And in PA, it is an issue to find it. I still go to NYC to drink it on tap at zum Schneider, but this is THE place to get that beer and other high quality bottled beers. I have had no problems finding great German and Belgian brews here. Now if only they sold kegs as well... If you like high quality beer and believe that "Das Leben ist zu kurz um scheiss Bier zu trinken," then this is the place for you!

Thank you Ron and Mike for starters. Small wine and beer store with a ton of stuff packed in, a patio out front and a small bar in the back, yes a bar with 6 taps of awesome stuff. Iíve never seen a freakin beer store with a bar inside, two thumbs up on that one. I saw so many rare offerings that Iíve never seen in Cleveland from some big name companies. The selection was just great he carries every good brewer available to this state and definitely weeds out the crap, pretty sure there was 0 macroís there. This was also the first time I broke the triple digit mark spending about $110. Iíll make the almost 1 1/2 hour drive again for sure, itís worth it. Definitely the best selection Iíve seen in Ohio.

Stopped in here late on a Monday evening, around 8:30. Parking is available right in front of the store. Walked in and was greeted by a huge selection of wine and directly to the left, was beer as far as the eye could see. All the beer was sold individually. Through the doorway to the beer I found coolers down the right wall and aisles of shelving loaded up with beer. Everything was sort of organized by brewery. There were some that had multiple locations throughout the store, but for the most part, if you find the brewery youíre looking for, all they have from that brewery is in that general vicinity. All the enormous bottles are grouped together regardless of brewery. Iím talking everything bigger than 750 ml, which they had a good many to choose from. The largest selection of these Iíve seen to date. The guys walking around offering help keep to themselves unless you look distraught or ask for help, I like this. I bought two cases of beer, and upon checking out, the guy ringing me up made sure to tell me that I had bought two vintages of Hoppin Frog BA Frosted Frog. The only way to tell is the color of the cap. This guy knew his shit. After checking out, I loaded the bottles into the car and came back in for some mead and beer and a quick bite to eat. I was able to get a sampler of 6 or 12 meads of my choosing. I ordered the 6 mead sampler, which was more than enough for one person, and very reasonable priced at $12. The meditterranean flat bread I ordered was quite delicious and came out quickly. Will I be back to this place? You can bet your ass I will. This place rules!
