Stopped in for a few pints while in the artsy district, May 2015. Service is OK, go up to the ’window’ and get your beer. Sitting outside is great - tons of quirky sculptures and metal works, outdoor games and picnic tables. A neat place and decent beers.
Visited early in the evening on a Tuesday. Difficult place to find and get to, but if you go behind the building that the address takes you to, you will be able to get into the parking lot. Plenty of parking once you get there. When I arrived, there were already a bunch of people here and a line had formed to get beer. Didn’t look like flights were offered, so I didn’t bother to ask and just ordered a full pour to help keep the line moving. After making it through the line, they opened up a second window to serve select beers to those outside. They have a big porch you could sit on to drink the beer, or you could sit out in the grassy area just beyond the porch. Pulling up to this place gave me the feel of a hippie campground, not that I would know what that is like. There was a pizza food truck on my visit, but I didn’t get anything. The beers were about average. I think you come here more for the atmosphere than the beer, though.
Very cool place in Asheville...especially if the weather’s warm...lots of outside seating...really neat eclectic look to the place. Good solid beers...not too many will knock your socks off or anything...and not a lot of them...but definitely a great place to hangout with friends and drink some good beers. I like this place...but not sure I’m sending a lot of craftbeer travelers here.
Was in the arts district and stumbled upon this one. Place looks a bit shabby, but it’s just fitting into the neighborhood. Lots of real hipsters lounging around. Smells like a brewery inside. Beers were affordable. Had a few pints and called it a day. There was a food truck, or at least looked like one available.
This place is heard to find due to lack of signage, but worth locating. They’re behind Ananda West just off the traffic circle at Haywood and Roberts. Interior has a rough and unpretentious look, and servers do a good job handling a big crowd. Only beers are their own, but these are quite good. Worth finding!
Super cool location in West Asheville. Total hipster and a bit of Austin to this open area outside just by the train tracks. Nice limited menu of beers. Samplers available: 4 for $6. Saw a food truck outside.
Very chill brewing establishment with a wide outdoor area and ElKimchi food truck company to provide a Korean Beef and Mexican Fusion food experience. The outdoor patio area has two cornhole setups and can seat roughly 50 or so people. The actual brewery seating indoors is a bit small but serviceable for those who don't like the outdoors. During my visit, Wedge had 6 different styled beers on tap ranging from a Czech style ale to a Belgium Style ale. Credit card is accepted
