Very art hipster vibe to this establishment; on the ground floor of an art collective. One small bar for seating inside, plenty of tables and chairs outside. Service was fair, nice and knowledgeable; I think they were training someone new the day I showed up. Selection is just their beer, but all that I tried were superb. No food there, but food trucks show up in mass on multiple occasions. Very reasonable pricing considering the the quality of beer you are drinking. The best micro brewery in town in my opinion. Beers are top notch, just wish I could take home more than just the IPA.

Super cool location in West Asheville. Total hipster and a bit of Austin to this open area outside just by the train tracks. Nice limited menu of beers. Samplers available: 4 for $6. Saw a food truck outside.

Very chill brewing establishment with a wide outdoor area and ElKimchi food truck company to provide a Korean Beef and Mexican Fusion food experience. The outdoor patio area has two cornhole setups and can seat roughly 50 or so people. The actual brewery seating indoors is a bit small but serviceable for those who don't like the outdoors. During my visit, Wedge had 6 different styled beers on tap ranging from a Czech style ale to a Belgium Style ale. Credit card is accepted

We went to check out the River Art District on our way out of town, and semi-stumbled on Wedge. There were only about 6-7 people inside the small brewery that sort of hides down the stairs from the main street of the district. Parking was very easy, we parked at the top of the outdoor stairs, but there appeared to be a large lot down on the lower level as well. The backyard seemed great for outdoor drinking, though it wasnít the greatest weather day on our visit, so it was empty. The beers were really quite tasty. It isnít an out-of-this-world destination, just a pleasant, small brewery with good beer. Definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather is friendly.

interesting place, can be a tad tricky to find, but cool place to hang out, especially in good weather where you take advantage of the outdoor area. the IPA window is a nice touch, is seperate from the rest of the bar. beer selection is good, they have a nice range. no food available, they offere peanuts, but food trucks show up here regularly, they show movies outside in the nicer weather. I like to visit early as itía downhill walk to get here and uphill to the rest of town.

Absolutely cosy and relaxing place by the river edge in hipster area of Asheville. The brews were tasty and service was nice. The sun was shining and life was good. What else would I need?

Located in the river art district, this brewery had a cool vib. Interesting metal art work and stools, good crowd, corn hole boards, nice open shaded area to drink in the Asheville sunshine and Wedgesí great beer

This might be the most chill place to have a beer in America. Wedge is a small brewery in the French Broad river bottom. Almost all the seating is outdoors. The crowd ranges from kids (not many, thank god) to senior citizens to dogs. Real community gathering spot, with killer beer. Probably the best standard IPA in Asheville. Do not miss.

Wedge is close to the river in the arts district of town. It shares a building with various galleries and studios. In keeping with this itís a bit quirky. The inside is quite small - better, on a sunny day, to be outside where you can throw beanbags (a game called "cornhole" hitherto unbeknown to me, although now I know what it is Iíve seen it in many places since) or just sit in the garden. The garden is quite attractive. Itís adorned with sculptures fashioned from old iron machinery parts and other industrial debris. Theyíre also reclaiming a patch of land between the bar and the railway line to make a bigger outdoor patio. I was feeling a bit jaded when we visited so I only tried one of the beers - the community porter, which was very good. (Visited 7 February 2014 on the RBWG bus tour).
