A nice little brewery in the artsy fartsy district of Asheville. Iíve been here twice and enjoyed the beers. There isnít much room indoors but plenty of places to sit outside. They do not serve food but there are usually food trucks parked around. Itís a little out of the way of the other Asheville stuff but worth stopping by for a few pints.

We went to check out the River Art District on our way out of town, and semi-stumbled on Wedge. There were only about 6-7 people inside the small brewery that sort of hides down the stairs from the main street of the district. Parking was very easy, we parked at the top of the outdoor stairs, but there appeared to be a large lot down on the lower level as well. The backyard seemed great for outdoor drinking, though it wasnít the greatest weather day on our visit, so it was empty. The beers were really quite tasty. It isnít an out-of-this-world destination, just a pleasant, small brewery with good beer. Definitely worth a visit, especially if the weather is friendly.

interesting place, can be a tad tricky to find, but cool place to hang out, especially in good weather where you take advantage of the outdoor area. the IPA window is a nice touch, is seperate from the rest of the bar. beer selection is good, they have a nice range. no food available, they offere peanuts, but food trucks show up here regularly, they show movies outside in the nicer weather. I like to visit early as itía downhill walk to get here and uphill to the rest of town.

Absolutely cosy and relaxing place by the river edge in hipster area of Asheville. The brews were tasty and service was nice. The sun was shining and life was good. What else would I need?

This might be the most chill place to have a beer in America. Wedge is a small brewery in the French Broad river bottom. Almost all the seating is outdoors. The crowd ranges from kids (not many, thank god) to senior citizens to dogs. Real community gathering spot, with killer beer. Probably the best standard IPA in Asheville. Do not miss.

Wedge is close to the river in the arts district of town. It shares a building with various galleries and studios. In keeping with this itís a bit quirky. The inside is quite small - better, on a sunny day, to be outside where you can throw beanbags (a game called "cornhole" hitherto unbeknown to me, although now I know what it is Iíve seen it in many places since) or just sit in the garden. The garden is quite attractive. Itís adorned with sculptures fashioned from old iron machinery parts and other industrial debris. Theyíre also reclaiming a patch of land between the bar and the railway line to make a bigger outdoor patio. I was feeling a bit jaded when we visited so I only tried one of the beers - the community porter, which was very good.

Wedge is located in the artistic district (that is a distinct area in town believe it or not) and offers a rather cramped space. Despite the indoors being cramped, the service is prompt and on nice weather days, there is ample outdoor seating and a food truck serving local fare. The brewer is quite willing to talk beer and show off his equipment.

> Quirky, weird, artisy venue with scavengered industrial decor and a large selection of Belgian and American style house beers
>> Popular tasting room in the "wedge" area of Asheville that is the artsy, hipster zone. Unique outdoor and indoor scavenged industrial decor, modern sculptures. No food menu (someone on here rated the food -___- ). 10+ house beers on tap plus a local cider. Large array of styles attempted here: Belgian Strong Ales, IPAs, Stouts, Strong Dark Ales, Lagers, Sours. All over the place. Sort of spread thin in a way as none of the beers were excellent and some were flops. Best part of this brewery is the outdoor cornhole. Nice vibe.

Cool, funky taproom. Around 8 beers on tap when we visited. Sampler flights were not offered (although that may have been due to our large group). The main bartender was not very friendly and pretty off-putting. Only tried 3 of their beers and they were solid. I will come back when there is less of a big group rush to sample all the beers. It seemed like a great place to frequent if you were a local
