Better than average Wegmens selection, although he specialties and single bottles have been better in different states. Snagged a SN Estate, but they would not let me buy a couple bottles from the designated single bottles unless I took a mixed six pack. No service of course. Roughly as good as Amherst, NY. More six packs though, and they had a full Great Lakes selection. Good for the regular stuff at decent prices.

A couple years ago, Wegmans made a commitment to craft beer, and in the rear coolers (past the cleaning products), they have created a nice little place for beer enthusiasts. Not only do they have a very good selection (great for a grocery store), but they separate them into East Coast, West Coast and European. They also have descriptions of select bottles -- including intensity of the beer -- and food pairings. There are also books, DVDs and glassware available to further beer knowledge. They also have very good value mixed-sixpacks, and occasional beer tastings. I’m very impressed with the way Wegmans has embraced beer culture.

Really good beer selection in this store. Greatly improved over the past 4-5 years. They now have about 3 rows of great beers from all over the nation. They now have a mix a 6 pack section, which has been present about 8 months now. Unfortunately, prices are a little inflated by a couple bucks a bottle. All in all, this place has a nice selection with plenty of interesting finds. I don’t know if there are any other better beer stores in the Syracuse area, but I know if this place was around 4 years ago, it would be classified as the best. Unfortunately, the amount of chilled beers is fairly limited.
