Visited in early May, a 10 minute walk from the Hbf and a little uphill section at the end.
Nice large one-roomed place with trad wood panelling.
Range of Weihenstephan beers available draft or bottled. If limited time worth a look but the Braustuberl is better as the ratings show

This famous brewery is located on top of a hill in a scenic town near the Munich airport. Plenty of free parking. Large, uncrowded deck with nice view, and a variety of spaces inside. World class beer with limited variety (typical for Germany). Had food once which was OK but not sufficient to rate the food offerings. Well worth the effort to visit if in the area.

Visited during Jolly to Bamberg 2014. Modern and a bit cold environment, but with a nice beerlist. Some rara beers from their own brewery. Not very crowded, service was average. Worth visiting if you are anywhere near.

A bit up-scaled and posh. Not a huge selection, but they have a few beers that aren’t the standard Weihenstephaner selection. Quick service. A more relaxing place for a dinner than a beer venue.

Last stop on the Bamberg post Xmas Jolly, Sunday 26th Jan 2014 around 3.30pm.
Located up the hill by the Dom it’s around a 7/8 minute walk from Hofbrauhaus Freising. Smartly decorated with leather bench like seating in circular open arrangements, WAD is a pretty upmarket place aimed at the diner more than the drinker. The beer selection is not as good as the brewery tap with around 3 beers on tap and 5 or so bottles on offer.
The place lacked a little ambiance as only around 3 other tables were occupied on our visit - late lunchers.
Service was prompt and friendly.
A nice venue for sure but having visited both, as you’d imagine, the purists choice is the brewery tap. That said if you didnt have time to hit their tap like us on this visit, or if you fancied a nice meal with the other half or non beer friends, I’m sure this place will serve you well.
