Great tourist-trap with only decent beers and shitty and arrogant service. They didnt have either Vitus or Koribinian on draught. Expensive and cold.

Reserved a table with friends (smart move!) for early Friday evening. We were promptly lead to the beer Keller and given menus. Besides all the Weihenstephan beers a full, authentic German menu. To save some room I started of on their pilsner, which I never had, and it is great! Fresh, bitter, mild maltiness and a nice slightly dry finish. Suffice it to say I had a few, as well as the Dunkel. We had a great time: good beer and food, topped of with some Obstler. Staff started out a bit stiff, but loosened up when we turned out to be able to speak German and rack up a sizeable count.

A must if you’re after Weihenstephaner scarce stuff. Very nicely decorated place, decent prices, of course, with lot of brewery souvenirs at high Berliner prices. Efficient service.

Nice traditional place in the center of Berlin, good food and ambiance.... and that’s all, if you are looking for try different beers, this is not the place.

Very touristy, but they had some beers I didnt rate yet, so we got some beers and a cup of water. Very central in Berlin.. .drop by, check the beerlist... Not a bad place, but for me just a place to kill time and get a rating !!!

I’ve been there by chance. It looks like a touristic old fashioned cafe/rest but when I sit, look the menu and taste beers; a must visit place in Berlin!. Oldest brewery, fantastic beers, Unfortunately did have a chance to taste only 3 different types.

Had a few beers there. Excellent beers, service fine. Sat outdoor in the sun, it was market day. Excellent view and great fun.

Huge terrace area out front, too wet and cold to use on our 1st visit (an evening in April 2011), or our 2nd (Jan 2012). Wooden floor on entering, the bar is a fair distance in front of you. To the left are tables, the wall to your right has a brightly lite display cabinate with beers, glasses, steins and certificates on show. We hooked up to a tall table with stools next to it. Modern decor with a rustic touch, dark wood stools, scrubbed lightwood tables, modern chandiller with mood lighting. Cooler Keller bar (in temp amd ambiance) below, we were guided down there on our second visit. Table service of course, attentive and pleasant. We had two beers each and they were in good order and served as you’d expect in the correct glasses. I seem to think they only sell their own beers, not that’s a bad thing. A classy joint, fairly quiet on our visit, but it is in a happening area and must get very busy at times. Food looked good, but we had none.

Lovely place. Has a large outdoor seating area that I imagine is quite popular during warm months; but on a chilly, rainy new years day I sat inside. Beautiful interior, lots of table seating, all wood, candles and electric lighting. Friendly servers that speak English. Great place to top into for some of the less common Weihenstephaner beers.

well, not that the place is bad. just last time we went, with 2 kids that drunk soft drinks, we had each 2 beers (a big, a small) and 2 soups, since it was cold outside, we ended with 40 euro bill, without tips. Beer is great but choice never change. Food is way too expensive and you notice the tourist area you are in. Value for money better on Prague, 0.80 ct for a beer, 4.80 euro here... ok, it is Germany... Still.
