Service station on the M6 that is one of the best in the UK. Focus is on local produce, with the English breakfasts and cakes being very tasty. Visited for the first time in a couple of years in June 2013, and it was a pleasant surprise to see alcohol for sale. The beer focus is also local with bottles from Hardknott, Coniston, Ulverston, Dent, Hawkshead, Hesketh Newmarket, Nine Standards and Stringers for sale, plus some Scottish ones and the usuals from Sam Smiths. To mark the development of Tebay’s sister service station in Gloucester, there were also bottles from that part of the world available, including the excellent Herefordshire ciders and perries from Olivers and Dragon Orchards. Good.
