My review is basically wow, a whole beer store, a beer store in and of itself as part of a whole foods that has draft beers and growler fills, wow. I went through the whole place, decided to refrain from buying, not that I was not tempted, but damn, and pricing is relatively good by New York Standards. well worth a visit, to me as an ex-nycer an ex east village guy, this place made me want to cry and ask why the hell wasn’t it there when I was in town?

the place is clean and nice enough. they have growler service and usually offer good variety and surprise you from time to time. There is a good assortment of different bottles. the service is good as is the food here. they are in nyc so they are expensive but overall a pretty good place, of course it is not better than New Beer Dist. two blocks down.

Awesome bottle selection, wide variety with reasonable prices (considering the city). A few interesting draft beers to choose from to fill up growlers. Awesome beer store.

Very impressive, interesting that the best part of the store front is given to their beer room. Fine selection of US and imports, very impressive growler filling station. Maybe a sampler system could be an idea before ordering a growler?
Combine this with the Beer Distributors down the road, and you’ll have plenty!

First of all, this is probably the coolest Whole Foods I’ve been to, especially the restaurant section upstairs, so it has the added advantage of being a great place to grab stuff for your culinary needs as well - yes, it pretty much has everything that you can get down the street at new beer, but it’s much cleaner, and the stock is more well-maintained - in addition, their growler fill station has a bigger selection, and is very reasonably priced - the prices as quite fair, especially considering how high the prices have been getting at the more widely visited stores in the city (I saw some beers here that were selling for almost half the price that they were being sold at American Beer) - all in all, a nice addition to the ever-growing list of quality NY beer stores.

Great place. Very clean, well lit and well organized. Five or six taps are available at all times. The rest of the store has a wide selection of hard to find beers, as well as old stand-bys. The prices are very reasonable, especially for Manhattan. I definitely see better value here than at a lot of places in Long Island.

Maybe I’m rating this place a little to high since i work here, but I think it’s a exceptional place. First of all you can pick up a growler here, 64oz for 7.99-13.99. second of all they have a decent selection of local brewers which is always nice, and also a nice variety of beers in general. They don’t have hard to come by beers, but still better than most supermarkets. A real convenience I think, you shop for groceries and then pick up a nice brew right at the same place. The staff are die hard customer service freaks, and the buyer is really knowledgeable and has a lot to offer. If you’re in the area you should check it out, and maybe look for me. Overall its a great convenience, that offers good brews and also food to go with your beer. Also I get a discount for working here! Cheap beer!

Large coolers of single bottles and six-packs. Solid international selection but seemed to focus on US micros. Fairly clearly organized with local breweries well marked. Had a larger cider selection than I’m used to seeing, so that was nice. HAd sme interesting growler offerings when I was there, unfortunately I had to pass on them due to my traveling. They didn’t seem to have to many rarities, just a solid lineup of quality micros. Very nice.
