A decent selection. While you wonít find any rare brews, their varied stock has most everything you need for you average night. No food inside this section of Whole Foods, but good grub is to be had. For the harder to find stuff, and slightly better prices, head 3 blocks down to New Beer

Pretty amazing selection of imports here. I didnít really like being in there that much and the employees were only marginally helpful with my rather large haul. Also, the prices were killing me. Still, kind of a must stop if youíre already in the area visiting New Beer or whatever.

I came in here to escape the oppressive heat of the New York summer. Thereís a decent number of bottles. I didnít notice anything particularly interesting, but the range is certainly solid. Thereís loads of staff milling about. Overall, the beer selectionís definitely better than any supermarket Iíve ever walked into.

A nice store with a wide selection. Service was helpful enough. I was a bit concerned about the lighting - theyíve got floor to ceiling windows along 2 walls - yes, they are partially blocked, but there is still a LOT of light getting in there. Selection was nice but prices were significantly (a few bucks/bottle in some cases) higher than New Beer right down the street. Iíll come back next time Iím in NYC, but more because its just a few blocks from New Beer than as a destination of itís own.

Bottle shop and food market around the bock from New Beer Distributors. I found that most of the beers here were also available at New Beer, where they were slightly less expensive. They did have a few beers that had sold out at New Beer that I picked up. Worth visiting if you are in the area, but not really a destination place for me.

A big room filled with a lot of good beers... I wish the Whole Foods in my city had this section!

Walked through this place several times. Decent selection, well lit, some interesting taps cycle through. Prices are moderate, but go up the block for New Beer for better prices/selection. This place would probably do better if they werenít up the block from the best beer store in the city (in my opinion).

As others have mentioned this place has its own beer room which is located past the cash registers. Yes they have a ton of beers and a depth you donít typically see. I swear Iíve never seen so much evil twin in my life. But I would never buy anything there. The room is bathed in light since they employed floor to ceiling windows on two sides. They compound their flawed design by placing much of their beer neíer the windows and they do only a token job of blocking the light. Really, whatís the point.

Best bottle selection/price equation I was able to find in NYC.

Good selection of beer. I was happy to found Goose Island Juliet and The Bruery Tart of Darkness on the shelves. Price were high but reasonable for NYC. Service was poor and unfriendly... nothing good to say about them. Some beer where directly in the sun light and were hot... weird.
