Stopped by on a quick overnight trip to town. Pretty muck all WF have an above average beer selection, I think that is known. But, I hadn’t been to one yet with a draft and homebrew supplies…pretty cool idea. Solid bottle selection, picked up a couple of singles. Between the cooler on one side and gain on the other is a open front tin shack looking structure with draft and vintage/no longer on shelf bottles for consumption there. Nice selection on both lists, with prices being a bit on the high side. Sample were available, but the bartender said for beer week they were something like $2.50-3 but the rest of the time they are less then $1. Had a Rio Reserva that was something stupid like $12, but what the hell. Service was nice and cool concept.

No complaints - nice people. Should drop the sports bar motif.

surprisingly really cool place that exceeded my expectations. Manager put on a one year aged Lenny rye that he held back, as well as 2011 North Coast imperial stout. The best beer on this trip was a pint of a Bear DIPA harvest. Everything served at appropriate carbonation and though a tad cold, a reasonable temperature to just wait out. Cheap pints, they have some happy hours as well. The bottle selection was very good, with some harder to get stuff in the US craft cooler, not found at the Bottle Shop. Friendly and polite people, a good service and lighting.

This was a cool first place to begin the day’s beer adventure north of SF. So walking in was a little disorienting as I’ve not seen Whole Foods store configuration like this. I found the beer off in the right back corner where there was a solid selection of NorCal offerings but nothing here another well stocked bottle shop wouldn’t have. All of the singles are stored in the cold space and seem priced OK. I did get asked almost right away if I needed help by a friendly staff member, which was nice. I didn’t try the “tap room” since it was too early. Neat-o looking space to try a beer, that actually seemed very small compared to the beer drinking and tap area of the Chandler, AZ location. I see plenty of warning placards all over the place to control where you could and couldn’t take a drink. Not sure I will go out of my way to come back and try the tap list since it looks like it doesn’t take too many to totally fill it up. Nice stop though. I walk away with 3 or 4 cool bottles.

Loved the taproom concept and design, but not the prices. However, they did have a pretty sweet selection on tap and worth the dent in the wallet. I was impressed. Same goes for the bottle selection--extensive, impressive, and expensive. But you’ve really got to give the store credit. Not only do they sell great beer but they also sell hops for homebrewers! Very cool.

Yes, it’s close to Bottle Barn. They have more RR and Lost Abbey beers in stock than the Barn. Their prices are a little higher than Bottle Barn. The employees working in the beer area are very helpful/friendly. Selection is very good for any type of store; makes it more amazing that this is a grocery store. Will definitely make this a place I visit next year on my annual trip. Keep up the good work guys!

Biggest point - it’s close to Bottle Barn, so worth stopping by. Picked up some of the contract brews - singles! Death Valley Pale Ale and several Peaks organics. Nice "tap room". Buy food, eat in tap room - actually the tap room guy said bring in food and he’d put it on the bar tab. Handy. Better selection than many Whole Foods, and there’s a large singles section in the end cap.

Cute little taproom inside a big grocery store. You can bring a beer from the shelves into the taproom for a $1 corkage fee. They have a very small food menu in the taproom, or you can bring prepared food from elsewhere in the store in. Good selection of relatively local beers on tap. Spent grain bread from the bakery is made with grain used to make Russian River beer. Not the best pub by any means, but reasonable if you’re in the area, and definitely makes the grocery shopping experience much better.

A nice open, friendly little tap room well stocked with most of Santa Rosa’s best offerings. Russian River doesn’t offer kegs too close to the brewery so there’s one local that will be sorely missed. Great staff. Good food. Well selected beers.
