This place is pretty tight. About 150 bottles with lots of selection from Bruery, Alesmith, Coronado, and a bunch of other Southern California micros. The free cheese sampler across from the beer cooler didn’t hurt either. It’s a pretty decent spot to grab a few bottles.

I knew this place was down here somewhere and I just happen to walk by. I’ve been to a half a dozen Whole Foods and this one is just about the worst for beer selection. If you are stuck downtown and want a six for your hotel room it might be worth a look. You may be better off just hitting some of the watering holes in the area.

Pretty good selection of beers including Belgians. Friendly staff. I’ve bought beer from them a few times and keep going back. Good selection of high quality groceries too.

Ambiance in a grocery store? Sure. This is in a friendly part of town, so it’s easy to meet people. The beer selection is good and the food is as well. I’d go to Beverages & More for just beer, but this place is okay if you need some gourmet items such as chocolate, cheeses and deli stuff.

Great selection of local brews and imports. 5-6 shelfrows of large bottles where half or so are in the fridge. Good value for money.

Surprisingly haven’t rated this place even though I’ve been going here for years. Great selection as far as local beers go, and pricing can be good overall. Gets a huge inventory of Bruery Beers now as well as most of the standard SD Fair. The beer orderer knows her stuff and at least for a time was working double time here and at SD Toronado. Its a great bottle shop by itself but if your in from out of town it should make you smile check some off your list of things to get.

anybody that has been to whole foods knows they have a pretty good beer selectoin...for a grocery store. however, i have never found anything hard to get. great selection of health foods and pricey. when in rome.

Smaller space but solid selection. Somewhat strange layout. Good prices in general. Needs to be reorganized, me thinks.

First stop to load up on beers on my San Diego trip. Found a wide variety of locals and imports, well stocked and carefully selected. Whole Foods is becoming one of the best chain stores for great craft beer. It sure beats the selection of other retail chains.

I dig wholefoods and do 70% of my overall shopping there. The beer girl knows her shit and keeps up with all the new releases...though 90% of the selection is the stand-by wholefoods selection that doesnt change very often. Beer is not priced as high as you’d think wholefoods would be...wish i could say the same for the food.
