I knew this place was down here somewhere and I just happen to walk by. Ive been to a half a dozen Whole Foods and this one is just about the worst for beer selection. If you are stuck downtown and want a six for your hotel room it might be worth a look. You may be better off just hitting some of the watering holes in the area.

Pretty good selection of beers including Belgians. Friendly staff. Ive bought beer from them a few times and keep going back. Good selection of high quality groceries too.

Nice selection of beer. Good quality whole foods, nice service counter for hot foods. Picked up a few Alesmiths.

anybody that has been to whole foods knows they have a pretty good beer selectoin...for a grocery store. however, i have never found anything hard to get. great selection of health foods and pricey. when in rome.

Similar to the La Jolla store, but a smaller selection. This one tends to have more Belgians. Not many rarities found here, but still a decent place to get a sandwich and a beer.

Lots of selction on imports and micros. Singles will be sold as well. Not as big of a selection as Bevmo, but nice to be able to do some grocery shopping at the same time.

Decent selection in the cooler, a few micros and imports I have not seen around. They have a mostly Belgian section away from the cooler that has a pretty nice selection. Lots of big bottles including Alesmith brews.

Ambiance in a grocery store? Sure. This is in a friendly part of town, so its easy to meet people. The beer selection is good and the food is as well. Id go to Beverages & More for just beer, but this place is okay if you need some gourmet items such as chocolate, cheeses and deli stuff.

Whole Foods is a nice undiscovered little gold mine, but once again its full of organic seeking hippies, and that just wont do most of the time. They DO allow you to buy singles, but man do they jack the price up on em. Overall they have a good selection of local micros, rivaling that of beverages and more. They are good for the occasional stop before the big game.

I dig wholefoods and do 70% of my overall shopping there. The beer girl knows her shit and keeps up with all the new releases...though 90% of the selection is the stand-by wholefoods selection that doesnt change very often. Beer is not priced as high as youd think wholefoods would be...wish i could say the same for the food.
