This was my local beer store when living in SF. Iíd stop here after work and grab a bottle of whatever. Itís technically close to most touristy things youíd do in SF so no reason not to stop in. The bike shop next door is where I bought my first bike and theyíre great as well (extra local tidbit :)

Visited November 8, 2013.
This is a large store in crowded San Francisco, near the Moscone Center. I was very surprised by both how much real estate they have as well as how much beer they carry. This might be the most impressive Whole Foods that Iíve been to in terms of beer. Russian River, Firestone, Logsdon, Lagunitas, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Drakes, Anchor, Lost Abbey, Bruery, Boulevard, Knee Deep, Port, Ballast Point, AleSmith, Stone, Maui, Oskar Blues, Allagash, the list goes on. Prices were a bit high, service was non-existent but thatís fine.Pretty standard for a whole foods in most regards but the beer. Since I do occasionally have business in the area Iíll be stopping back in at some point for sure.

For a supermarket itís the goods. Great selection of beer - fresh Pliny, Logdsons, JPís, Almanac and heaps more. Reasonable pricing. Dude stocking shelf had good knowledge and sounded like heíd tried íem all. Convenient to grab a snack too!

Stopped in on a walking tour around the hotel. I know some of the SF Whole Foods have a pretty impressive selection, but I was not expecting much. Imagine my surprise when Peche and Brett was staring at me from the shelves. All in all a pretty impressive selection, if a little tighter on space than say, the Potorero Hill store. I was more impressed with the selection here than at City Beer. Check it out.

Good selection of beer. Wish I had a bigger suitcase, next trip. While I was walking toward the checkout I noticed they also have a nice section of Japenese beers that are NOT near the rest of the beer.

Wel I really came here for cheap, fresh, local food, but compared to the one on Franklin this WFís selection was way better. Plus everybody here was way more informative and down-to-earth by comparison. Maady, the beer dude was cool to talk to, so thatís a bonus.

Slightly larger selection of beers than in the California St. branch. Some rarities available here as well (e.g. Firestone Walker XV and North Coast Old Rasputin XIV Anniversary) with quite reasonable prices.

Stopped in while walking to Thirsty Bear. I must say for a Whole Foods this had a very nice selection. Couple of rare brews, but had a massive selection of regional brews both in bombers and six packs. I would hit this in tandem with City Beer and you should be set.

Canít really give much for service, as no one was around the beer...This place had a great selection, though. Best I have seen for a supermarket: lots of Russian River, Lost Abbey, Jolly Pumpkin, Upright, plus good Belgian imports (Pannepot!). Good prices. Surprisingly interesting.

I hadnít been to a Whole Foods in ages so I decided to check out the beer selection at this downtown store. Very impressive stock of California microbrews and hard to find beers from around the U.S. and Europe. They have the largest selection of Russian River that Iíve seen in the Bay Area. No Alesmith though, unfortunately. This is also the only place that Iíve seen Old Rasputin XII. The guy in charge of the beer section was very knowledgeable and there was a tasting of canned beers from Oskar Blues Brewery the day I was there. The only negative I can think of is that nearly all of their beers are refrigerated, which may pose a problem if you want to age a bottle.
