One of the best brewpubs Iíve ever been to! A large open upstairs with long bar and plenty of seating. Downstairs bar is smaller but has the special taps. Service was spot on, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Selection was great too with 16 taps, samplers available Sun-Thursday, half pints too. Growlers or half growlers available on most beers. Food was great too. An absolute must hit!

***NO TASTERS ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY, PLAN ACCORDINGLY***
With that out of the way, letís get to the good stuff. This place is out right legit, and dare I say the best brewpub in the world. The setting is a bit strange, you almost feel like you are at a trendy restaurant but there are frat boys and old people everywhere. An outside patio upfront, plenty of seating inside and at the bar, then a downstairs with more seating and an outdoor patio. Eating is up stairs, so head to the bar, patio or downstairs to just drink. With roughly 25 beers on tap you want to tick your heart out, but donít learn the hard way and come on a Friday or Saturday to do so or you might walk away unhappy. If that happens, there are more than enough choices to make your day, Freak of Nature is exactly that, a freak of a beer that makes you go what the hell? Luckily, I got to taste every beer they had thanks to an awesome attentive manager and server. Never have I had so many quality beers of totally different styles. Great hoppy, sours, ba stout, etc. You name it they make it great. Reminds me of Russian River from an overall beer quality perspective. Its those 2 places, and everyone else. The food was equally excellent, modern American upscale pub food. Before you leave you can also buy bottles of a few sours, and pick up a glass or shirt with their awesome logo. This place lives up to the hype and is worth visiting Asheville alone. There are so many options in Asheville so a word of advice. Donít tick every beer like I did in one day. Come here multiple days and just skip the other places. They are ok, but arenít in he same universe as the Weed. Spend 2 meals here and you wonít go wrong.

Word. This place rocks. Believe the hype. Very impressive selection and the food I hear is awesome too, though I did not have any during my recent weekend trip to Asheville. Very well run, they let me sample many of their beers without charge and the ambiance is poppiní. The Asheville beer scene has taken a major step forward with this fairly new addition. Word.

What a place! Wicked Weed have got just about everything right. They have around 28 beers on tap - a superb selection, all their own and all very good indeed. The brewing happens downstairs, where thereís also a very nice tap room and a patio with bench tables. Upstairs is a large, airy, more formal and upmarket bar and eating area and another patio at the front. Apparently it was Henry VIII who dubbed hops a "wicked and pernicious weed", hence the large portrait of him on one wall upstairs with the theme continued downstairs - Henry also appears on the door of the menís toilet and portraits of three of his wives adorn the ladiesí.
We visited Wicked Weed several times during the RBWG 2014 and were made very welcome. It quickly established itself as one of my favourite brewpubs - possibly the favourite - of all time.

This place was done right from the onset. Wicked Weed solidifies Asheville as a top-notch beer destination, offering a wide selection of beautifully crafted beers. The upstairs is large and open but the downstairs is where I would much rather spend several hours. There is an outdoor area just outside the tasting room/brewing area also. The house beers were all superb. The staff kept our glasses full and served our food swiftly despite being crazy busy.

One of my favorite places. No, the food is not so great. But so what? The beer is world-class. The range of styles is impressive. The breweryís willingness to experiment is admirable. One of the best places to drink in the country.

A great place in Asheville. The best place that I visited while in town. A huge selection of taps. I only had the opportunity to try around 6, but there were probably 30-40 different beers on tap. All beers I sampled were solid to very good. In addition, has a really nice atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out! I will be back!

This place is the B.O.M.B. Service was great, as is the food and beer selection, and the dual-level bars are awesome. Wicked Weed lives up to the hype. Go there. Immediately.

Awesome place in downtown Asheville. The upstairs and downstairs collectively have an unbelievable amount of taps - 44, by my count, without much overlap. The atmosphere is incredible. Well-appointed, perfectly lit, with beautiful woodwork. Inviting upstairs and down, with a sizeable patio downstairs, too. Big chalkboard menus, with two sizes of most beers available. The upstairs has really good food. Prices are fair. The staff is good. But the only thing that put me off is the two doormen regulating the crowd inside at night. It seemed like they were being overly strict, as it was clear there was plenty of room. The beer is excellent. Best place and best beer in town. Absolutely essential visit.

A gem in Asheville. Dedicated brewing people, lots of equipment, trying to play like the big boys. Quality above average, better across the board than the rest of Asheville. Upstairs is showing off some culinary skills. Big fire pit out front. Awesome place to drink as a local. Lots of new beer with few duds, no television sets and vegetables on the feeding list.
