98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 uhclem (2) Loveland, Colorado | July 3, 2008 If you’re looking for a place that has a huge selection of beer (not to mention aisles and aisles of wine and hundreds of single-malts) then Wilbur’s is the place. On top of that, they carry a large selection of gift boxes, they have weekly specials, and, of importance to me, at least, they give a 10% discount across the board to anyone who has a military ID. Usually, when I make a purchase, the cashier will mention my service and thank me for it. As a Viet Nam era vet, this is very refreshing. And don’t get me started on their vast selection of bourbon, tequila, vodka etc. The place is clean and the employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 Deeez20 (2) Loveland, Colorado | June 3, 2006 This is the best beer store I’ve found in Colorado! Jeff the "beer Guy" has great knowledge, and has even turned me on to some new beers I haven’t seen anywhere else. Great weekly sales, and an even better selection than Liquor Max in Loveland. Highly recomended. | 92 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 adnielsen (325) Fort Collins, Colorado | October 13, 2010| Updated June 27, 2011 One of the best beer stores I’ve visited. I would guess that they have over 500 beers to choose from. I’ve rated over 2,300 beers and I still have numerous beers here that I have not tried. This is a beer lover’s heaven. The staff is very helpful and the prices are average to good. Very large bomber selection from the US and abroad. | 92 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 jcnielsen (138) Kansas City, Missouri | October 5, 2012| Updated June 27, 2011 Best selection of beer in Fort Collins, no doubt. This place was my introduction to the vast selection of beer in Colorado when I turned 21. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Steve_0 (72) Denver, Colorado | February 26, 2012| Updated July 22, 2012 The best liquor store in the state, hands down. Great selection of bombers and a good mix-six selection. They don’t always have a lot of rarities, but they have a large enough selection to keep you satisfied for a long time. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 Footler (5) Wyoming | September 1, 2009| Updated July 22, 2012 Yep, I make the 80+ mile round trip to Wilbur’s once a week. Paulaner 5 litre cans never seem to get flat in my household. They sure get empty fast though! The military discount is very, VERY cool. Geezus, I picked up a couple bombers of Fort Collins Barrel Licked Bock here and heard angels singing as I was pouring in into my glass. I asked a young man working here about getting a bottle of The Lost Abbey; The Angels Share and he immediately got on his radio, talked to his superior and informed me I can have it ordered. However, I got trigger-shy once I learned the price tag on that bad mammie jammie. The Wilbur’s Reward Club card will also come in mighty handy. This place rocks harder than a Led Zeppelin reunion! Well...you know what I mean... | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 Ringo (7) Loveland, Colorado | August 14, 2004| Updated July 22, 2012 Those must be some gas stations in Portland...talk to Jeff the beer buyer and he can order you what you want. Check the table for new selections. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 rotoguru (12) Fort Collins, Colorado | November 3, 2006 Ambiance at a liquor store? Yes, it’s rows and rows of beer, wine, and liquor - nuff said. Service is great, when someone is available; it’s easier to grab one of the guys stocking beer than to head up front. Selection is excellent (if you are looking for a specific beer that is not stocked, ask and they may be willing to order it). The wine selection is also very good, but this is a beer forum :). Overall, if you need to find something new to drink, searching for a special beer lover gift (3 liter Double Bastard anyone?), or know what you want but haven’t found at the shops closer to your home (you are the lucky ones who have Wilbur’s as their closest shop) then Wilbur’s is a MUST visit. If you visit often (and you should), join their Reward Club. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 Beaver (15) Fort Collins, Colorado | February 18, 2004 Best selection I've seen in Fort Collins. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Grundlepaste (12) , | April 18, 2012 This is where I get my beer when I go home after hanging at some of the best beer joints. Got to say FoCo is very lucky in that aspect and this store accentuates it in every way. Selection varies and the prices are a tad higher than other local spots, but it must be pricey to be next to Whole Foods. |
