Really good time. They gave me a VIP tour. In the morning I was trying new and experimental beers. After that I was smelling all the different kinds of hops that they brew with. Then I tasted raw chocolate malt and wheat malt. Then they made us belly up to the bar (oh darn)... We tried everything. SOB, Wred Wheat, Wraspberry, Fog, Brown, IPA, Imperial IPA, Alberta Crude. Then I had the Brown ale pot pie while watching the brew master work with malt and wort. Really good, small but really good. I would recommend this to anyone. Also the party pigs are really cool

Real cool place in the middle of nowhere, Calgary. Great expansive patio that was nearly packed on our Friday afternoon visit. Service was mediocre - they seemed stressed and were hesitant to offer any samples. Prices are okay. Now, the beer quality - really bad. In fact, nearly every beer we samples was crap, except for the only mediocre IPA. Overall, it’s a cool place, but the beer quality sort of ruins the experience for me.

Great place in Calgary to visit and enjoy some good food, excellent home brew and a fun atmosphere. I would recommend this one to anyone visiting Calgary.

Was there in the summer. Food was great and they use their beers in the food. Service was there when needed and not when not. Got some samples which is always nice. Bought some products to take home. Can’t beat it, will go back.

Unpretentiousness and friendly setting compared to many of the newer sterile trendy downtown Calgary craft beer bars / taverns. Located less than 10 minutes from downtown in an unusual ex army barracks area.
Their beer is super fresh on tap. I had the IPA and the seasonal Hoptimal IIPA, both were excellent.
I also tried the Brewers reserve ’Farmhouse IPA" using New Zealand hops and Belgium yeast, I found this overly bitter lacking fruityness and ultra dry finish.
For me Wild Rose are probably one of the better Breweries in Calgary and their beers are definitely better tasting tap fresh than bottled.
Food is good but not outstanding.

So much to love and so much to dislike. First what I don’t like, just to end on a high note. They are in the middle of nowhere, so no option of getting a bit tipsy without a DD. I also think their beer is just OK, nothing that I find spectacular. That being said, it is comfortable, unpretentious and the service is great. Food is good and did I mention the service? Worth mentioning 2x as everyone looked happy and new what they were talking about. I would hang out all the time if they were in a better location.

Homely and gritty tap room, one that doesn’t pose any kind of snobbery or attitude from presentation to staff. That being said, its cleanliness and styling leave a touch to be desired.

Great little place with good craft beer, they make it right there, the food which is pub style is good and the staff are great, they have a home brewing club called the Cowtown Yeast Wranglers that are very active in the brewing scene, if I was in the area I would check it out, try the Alberta Crude it,s a great Stout.

The next door farmer’s market is sadly gone, but the brewery and tap room will remain. Minimalist decor, short menu of tasty simple food (try the brown ale pie). Get there at 4 on Fridays to sample the weekly cask ale. They sell 6-packs and growlers (’party pigs’) to go, and brewery swag. They’re very supportive of the local homebrew club, which meets here once a month. One of my favorite places in Calgary.

Quite hard to find by address but much easier if you’re looking for Farmers’ Market (btw also worth visiting). Lively bar and samplers (2 x 6 bottles) to go. Decent beers.

A must-stop for anyone visiting Calgary, if only to try their Alberta Crude Stout, which is both brewery-only, and in my opinion, their best beer. Service is always solid to very good, food is good, though portions tend to be on the small side, and there are very few options. Brewmaster Dave is always around to answer questions, and they have a Cask Night every Friday. Also, even moreso than most breweries, Wild Rose beers are VASTLY better on tap than out of bottle, so trying them all here is recommended.
