This pub bends over....from one street to another, but that’s what corner pubs do right? Huge place. With carpets on tables. Simple. Frendly and smily staff. Will come back again when I’m bit more sober.
Quite a large pub with a good selection of draughtbeers and bottles. Tried their own smoked stout and was pleasantly surprised. Also serves pubgrub that seems to be rather popular. Prices are fair. Will probably visit again!
A comfy and large pub with a pretty large selection of taps and bottles. Easily reachable via metro, or multiple buses and trams stopping right next to it. Overall quite similar to Kaisla (as they are part of the same chain), but perhaps a bit smaller selection. This place usually has the ticks available before Kaisla, though.
A subway ride from the center. Nice enough staff. Selection seemed rather different from other WKs with a cursory glance at least. The taps that is. Didn’t check out bottles. Rather weirdly spaced with tables crowded close together while at other places tables stacked up for storage where they could definitely use more space. Nice if you’re in the neighborhood, looking for that elusive one tick in the city, but if you’re a (beer) tourist, not worth your time alone.
This is a medium sized bar a bit from the city center, in an area known for their winos and addicts. Part of the oluthuone- chain of pubs, but I feel it has a slightly better selection than most. William-K- interior, meaning soft rugs on tables, old English- style. Boardgames and magazines. Foor also, standard pub snacks (never tried). A fun place, get easily crowded.
We have often come to this bar as they have one of the best selection of beers in the surrounding. But after the service this night (23/4/11) we will stop coming to the place. The doorkeeper was very unpolite and the bartender did not know anything about the selection of beers the bar has. We still regret that William K. Fleminginkatu was closed. There were always polite service.
This place was quite much bigger than I expected, and had about as many beers as the William K on Annenkatu has. Friendly staff, who seemed to know the beers they sold. Very close to Kolme Kaisaa too, so worth a visit if you happen to be visiting KK.
