70 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 poisoneddwarf (16) Rathdrum, Idaho | June 18, 2012 Good selection of beers that I can’t get in my area. There’s not many here, 300+, but what they do have is very good. It’s in a factory outlet mall, and the ambiance is pretty plain, but the staff is knowledgable and passionate about beer. I thought it was going to be more of a wine shop with a bit of beer tucked away in the corner, but that wasn’t the case. The majority of the place *is* devoted to wine, but the beer is nicely represented. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (561) Columbus, Ohio | April 4, 2011 (Visited 02/2010): This beer store is located in a strip mall right off the 101 in Seaside. Parking is plentiful in the lot.
The store sign evokes more of a child’s store than a wine/beer store, but aside from that minor distraction the inside is stocked with beer on the left side, with the rest of the store devoted to wine and other adult beverages. Some meads were in stock as well. Behind the counter there is also a cooler with a couple taps in it.
As for the beer selection, it is not huge but it is well thought-out. Beers from the Pacific NW like Caldera, Rogue and Deschutes are all present. Some singles are available as well. Going back to the taps, those are reserved for "beer club" members who complete their tour.
Service was friendly on a slow weekday. The woman behind the counter was helpful with beer recommendations and also gave travel tips for the area.
Overall this stop is easy to make and worthwhile on a trip to this small city on the coast. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 DuffMan (217) the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | May 13, 2010| Updated June 21, 2010 Parksy and I returned to this place twice to stock up before returning to Alberta. Beautiful selection of top-quality brews. Reasonable prices. I cannot recall the proprietor’s name, but he really knew his stuff and was keen to chat. When he realized we were serious about good beer, he threw in a complimetary bottle of 2008 Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Stout. A must-stop if you are in the area. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 beercollector (18) Astoria, Oregon | December 27, 2009| Updated July 28, 2010 In the last month or so they’ve added 17 new beers. They keep trying to bring in interesting beers from all over the world.
If you live on the north Oregon Coast this is the place to go for bottled beer. No food but next door is a Japanese, Chinese, Korean place that will bring the food over to your table at the Wine Haus. Or pick up tacos from the stand or elsewhere and order your beer. Works great. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Admin (1) Atlanta , Indiana | June 3, 2006 Great beer store find along the coast in Oregon. A great stop with a good coverage of beers. 300+ and all in coolers they have a great selection and some hard to finds. A must stop if in Seaside. They do give out samples and are very friendly. |
