Despite my GPS, I found this place for their tasting and was VERY impressed. A great selection of brews. Plenty of wines and gourmet candies, as well. The beer section is in the back room but well worth finding. Plenty of parking and very convenient to Interstate 170.

A destination for our semi every now and then trips to the big city. Like Lukas, they get stuff we canít get in Columbia. Very good selection for Missouri. When I was there, they had samples out for tasting.

I went to this place during our last trip to St. Louis and just happened upon a nice beer tasting that was going on. The store has an excellent, that also includes hundreds of wines and liquors. Cheese, meats, breads and candies are available in the small deli section up front. The beer selection is well thought out and very extensive. I picked up lots of Southern Tier, Ofallon, Schlafly as well as a handful of rare Belgians. Nicely layed out and all the employees were really helpful. This is my new favorite store in the city.

Stopped by here this past weekend and I can kick myself for not coming sooner. After driving past this place about 3 times i finally found it. Mostly a wine store with a deli inside but the beer section is in another room off to the back. Decent selection of domextic and import beer and some of beers in six packs are also available as singles. Beers are sorted according to country and the prices are pretty decent. If in the area its worth it to stop and brouse for an hour or so.

A very pleasant place to shop for beer. They have a very good selection with lots of rotation for what takes up shelf space. All of the employees are very helpful and accommodating. The prices are some of the best in the area & if beers have been on their shelves for longer than they want they will mark them down & many times become incredibly good deals. Aside from beer they have some great sodas. They are the only place in town that carries Grown Up Soda I know of. From how the store is run and who they cater Iím sure the food is good, although Iíve never tried it. Thankfully beer drinker are treated with respect in a wine store as well. A hearty recommendation for this place.

This is my go to beer store. While itís by far the closest it also provides an ever expanding beer selection. It has been nice to see the beer shelves grow from a few metal shelves and a cooler to a full dedicated space. The selection changes each time and the efforts by management to keep things fresh are admired. When Iím looking for something new this is my first stop.

Had not been to Wine and Cheese in Clayton in awhile, but I friend of mine said go in and check out the beer. Amazing how much better the selection has become. They have beers that I have not seen anywhere else in St. Louis. Wonderful imports like Mikkeller, Nogne, Panil, Struise Pannepot. I just missed the reserve Pannepot :( They seem to get the lions share of hard to get beer in St. Louis.

Downtown Clayton location. Open and bright store with what looked to be a solid assortment of boozes and cheeses. The beer selection was quite good with new stuff for me.. and they had a case of La Folie with my name on it. Cool place.

Place rating #108. Stopped by actually to buy a bottle of wine that they ordered for me. Im not sure why but it was a bit difficult for me to find comming in from Forest Parkway from the East. But alas I found it. You have to pay to park in the lot but if you buy something they validate. Not sure if you dont. Mostly a wine store but they do have a sizable selection of beer towards the back. Lots and lots of belgian beer and a solid selection of the usual locally found American beers. Really nothing too seasonal or unusual. But this place does the trick when looking for something you may not have had. It will be interesting to see what they get in the way of the seasonal Bells products that will be comming out soon.

AMBIANCE: Located in downtown Clayton. Lots of light shining through the big windows, which is a bit of a concern for the wine located nearby (the beer is a back room). The cheese selection is small, but solid. Some gourmet food offerings as well. SERVICE: Helpful and knowledgeable SELECTION: All of the Schalfly line, solid selection of American micros (Bells, Arcadia, Ommegang, Rogue, New Belgium, others) at good prices. Great selection of Belgians, with a good mix of lambics to boot. FOOD:Mostly cheese and curied meats, with some Stonewall Kitchen like products. OVERALL: Great store. Maybe not quite the selection of Starrís Market, but a much better wine and hard alcohol selection.
