This is a small little store out in Short Pump. Almost doesnt seem like they’d carry beer from the outside, and you’re still not even certain when you walk inside. They must not turn over their beer stock very quickly, since well aged beer is commonly sitting around. It’s not a huge selection, but what is there is fairly decent, and you run the chance of spotting some aged wonders.

Well, it looks like SOMEONE bought out all the Alpha King. Weird selection. You might find something interesting here, but if you do it will be overpriced. Boxes are piled in the middle of the store. Odd place.

So this place is probably my favorite find in Richmond so far. Not a huge selection, but what they do offer is age. This place has beers that have been sitting on the shelves since it first opened...7 years ago! I picked up three bottles of Double Bastard vintage 2003. The guys who runs the store doesn’t know anything about beer, so the prices are very skewed. A single bottle of Stone 11 was going for $13 however, I managed to pick up a sixer of Three Floyds Alpha King (not even sold in this state anymore) for 8 bucks! So while the selection is small, you might be able to pick up something old if you check this place out soon (they still had some Delerium Noel and Fantome Saison which are at least a few years old). So if you are living out near shortpump, this might not be a bad stop to pick up a microbrew, but as soon as they run out of old beers, I won’t go out of my way to make the visit.
