They have a great selection of craft brews. I would say the cooler section dedicated to craft is probably about 300’ long. They are mostly 6 and 4 pack offerings, but do have a few bombers. Pricing is about as good or better than I have seen in the area. If you passing by on I94, pop off at highway 50 head 1 block east you can’t miss it. It is worth the stop. If I lived within 20 min. it would be my everyday bottle shop.
Limited release stuff is limited but you can easily walk away happily with a beer haul from here. All of the sot after WI brews are available. Oskar Blues as well.

Woodman’s has an excellent selection of all kind of beers. They have one wall with coolers dedicated to micro and craft beers, broken down by Wisconsin beers, mid-west and national. Another wall of coolers is dedicated to 12pks and cases of macro beers. Then there’s a third wall of coolers dedicated to national macros, and international beers. They also let you build your own six-pack. Their prices are very reasonable, and if you buy four six packs from the same brewery the usually knock a dollar off each six-pack.

December 2010: They have expanded the beer and liquor selection so that it now resembles the other Woodman stores. The beer selection now covers all the outer walls so this is a big upgrade.
Good lineup of WI micro’s; Lakefront, New Glarus, Tyranena, Greys, Capital, etc. Decent variety otherwise but the price is usually $1-2 cheaper than otherplaces. Never been to other Woodmans but for a grocery store this place is nice.
They have Bell’s stuff: Hopslam, 3rd Coast, Expedition for ~$13/6 plus other regulars.
On a side note there is a authentic Austrian restaurant, "Little Europe" that has about 10-12 German/Czech beers on tap plus some of the best sausage around that is about 1/4 mile up the circle from Woodmans (past the Gander Mt.)

This is it in extreme SE Wisconsin.
It’s an icon for food shopping - and it’s a great place for booze but especially WI beer.
Nothing else needs be said but New Glarus.
I now live far away, and no one has heard of this place that I’ve know of for almost 20 yrs.
Now there’s O’so, Central Waters, my friends at Lakefront (which is available up and Down the Eastern Seaboard), Capital (the same as LF), Ale Asylum, Tyrannea...
It’s Woodman’s, whether it’s Madison, Kenosha, and now Aurora.

My main man and I rolled up from the north side one fine Saturday. That close to Wisconsin, we had to make the NG pilgrimage. This place was huge, though we only visited the two aisles of importance. Cases and cases of New Glarus stacked everywhere. Sweet Christmas! For those interested, there was plenty of other great looking craft (very much domestic), including other nice Wisconsin breweries like Central Waters, Tyranena, and Ale Asylum. But we filled the vehicle with New Glarus.

No matter how many times I visit a Woodman’s, I am always in awe ofthe sheer enormity of the place - giant grocery store with attached giant liquor depot (if you’ve ever been to a Woodman’s, they all look identical) - very large selection of Wisconsin craft beers, including mountains of New Glarus products - they obviously know that people are jumping up here from Chicagoland to grab Wisconsin beer - their craft six pack selection is quite impressive, plus they have a decent mix a six for 8.99 - bombers are a little more limited, but still respectable - imports are lean, but that is not why you’re coming here - excellent prices (ex. NG and Capital sixers for 6.99) - ambience is typical of a grocery liquor store - probably the best Woodman’s I’ve been to in terms of selection.

I use to drive the 25 miles trek here to do my grocery shopping before the Oak Creek store opened up and would always pick up some beer too. It’s a good selection of Wisconsin, regioanl and national brands and numerous sampler packs. It’s not nearly as good as the Oak Creek location in terms of selection but still not that bad.

Woodman’s does have an everything and the kitchen sink sort of approach with the beer, like other locations there are so many crap beers from Wisconsin brewers that appear to look like ’craft’, but are probably from City Brewing. We’ve stopped here several times as the first available stop after Chicago for whatever beer or food items that aren’t available outside of Wisconsin.

After being transplanted from Wisconsin I made a run up here to restock on some local beers. Don’t expect any knowledgeable employees to help you out; do your research before coming in. The selection actually seems a bit less than the ones in Madison though still blowing away your typical grocery store (as Woodman’s does in all departments).
If you happen to be in Chicago and have time to make the run this is a good stop for New Glarus, Tyranena, and a few other locals that are not distributed in Illinois. Otherwise continue up to Milwaukee or Madison for a richer selection.
