Very nice selection of Wisconsin micros. Also, I got a few others I hadn’t seen before. I will definitely make this a regular stop on trips to Madison. I continue to really enjoy this place, what a great selection. The location on the east side does not have the large selection of Wisconsin singles. However, they seem to have a larger selection of cheap 12 packs and cases of WI lagers. On another visit, still got lots of new stuff, but their singles selection is almost what it was a year ago.
I found the selections okay as far as singles go, good prices on the beer which is a bonus. Other than Ommegang, not much new and interesting in the larger bottles. The liquor stote is seperate form the larger grocery store.
The selection of foreign beer is minimal, but this is Madison...read the reviews of all the stores here and you’ll quickly discover that they all offer something different, and you’ll have to hit more than one place. This is your stop for singles of Wisconsin micros, it has easily the biggest selection I’ve ever seen in one store, a couple hundred in-state options I’d guess, for that great $7 a mixed-six price. Forget the service, but you have to stop here, along with Riley’s and Steves.
Great selection. You can rip-off the place by filling a 6er with expensive stuff and going to the register with the whoever looks like they care less or knows less. I’m not proud to say this, but I’ve done it before and will do it again (Samichlaus, Orval, Traquair Jacobite, and Unibroue Ephemere + two others for $7...oh yeah).
A great place to buy WI micros. Not so hot on "exotic" beers like Cantillon. Their "mix a six" deal is quite good, $7 for a six pack of singles. If you get a pimply-faced teenager cashier (as I did) you can fill a six pack with expensive imports and get the same deal. Remember to bring your checkbook! No plastic accepted.

I was amazed at the domestic craft brewer selection. There is a rather large single bottle section for raters to have a field day.

Large selection, quite well stored (everything is temp controlled). Don’t bother trying to find someone who knows anything about the beer. Credit/debit cards NOT accepted.
