Gorgeous bar, great food, awesome beer, fantastic food, and wonderful, friendly service. Can select almost all beers in two different sizes so you can try more beers without getting too wasted. Loved this place.

Incredibly cool brewpub. Nice dimly lit basement with a big bar and good number of tables. The house brews range from very good to incredible. Really awesome feel, good people, and helpful staff.

Kicking off with four starter beers - hey, it canít all be mango-and-mint-infused barleywines on day one - they successfully delivered a quality golden, amber, witbier, and stout. As of writing this, theyíve already released a fifth beer: an English mild. The bar staff gave me their word that cask beer will be offered fairly soon.
While not exactly extensive, the menu is certainly diversified enough to provide you what youíre looking for, whether itís a salad, sandwich, entree, appetizer, or, as I usually opt for (and did on this occasion), a beer-accompanying cheese plate.
Then, thereís the parking situation. If I find a place has limited or no parking available, requires me to hike a mile through unsavory parts of town, or is surrounded by ill-conceived, over-charging lots, then, well, theyíll be unlikely to see me again anytime soon. The Wrecking Bar has only a small number of spaces available, however, they currently have valets. Thank God for valets. I pray they remain in place at the Wrecking Bar.
With good food and good beer housed in a cool venue, oh, and with those trusty, hard-working valets, Iíll definitely be back soon. All in all, a pleasant spot that still even has that "new bar" scent.

New brewpub in Atlanta- only one visit so far but very impressed. had 3 beers, the Mild, Stout and IPA, all excellent. The bartender was very knowledgeable, the burger I ate was outstanding. This place should only get better- two cask beers will be on Friday, this is walking distance for me, I will be back many times.
Update: New brewer since my review, they now have a larger selection of beers in basically every style you can think of. The Friday casks are killer.

Beautiful buildout in a historic building. The beers are solid and the food was pretty tasty. The bar seems to be pushing the cocktails but in general I prefer the beers. Fun place that seems very different than a typical Little-Five vibe.

Beautiful old mansion turned into a brewery and craft food pub. The basement is actually the restaurant but it was very well done. Great, helpful service. Lots of smiles. The beer selection was small overall but of course they feature their own beers. So that was fine as most I tried were good. The food was very good. I had some flatbreads and a salad. The prices were fine. If you love bourbon they had a selection 65 to choose from.

On June 19, 2011 neighbors and beer lovers alike rejoiced at the opening of the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. After more than a year of renovations, the once graffiti covered eyesore was restored and converted into a lower level brewpub and an upstairs event space called the Marianna.
For homebrewer/owner Bob Sandage and his wife Kristine, beer was always intended to be the star of the show and the menu by chef Steve Mayer reflects that. Highlights include the roasted chicken brined in Belgium Wit served with asparagus and the boneless Brasstown beef short ribs braised in the Jemmy Stout beer and served with stone ground green chili grits. (Ask for cheese to be added to the grits for more calories and flavor!)
As for the beer, Brewmaster Chris Terenzi has expanded beyond the original four opening beers to a very drinkable OlíLantern Jaw English Mild, the hoppy but balanced Victor IPA (named for buildingís original owner Victor H. Kriegshaber) a big brown Belgian ale called the WB Abbey Dubbel, the Grand Esteemer San Francisco Lager and the Wheelie Popper Summer Kolsch. Future plans include a, Hefeweizen, German IPA and a West Coast double IPA.
The servers are pleasant and knowledgeable thanks to a mandatory test on beer before they were hired.
The monthly firkin Friday event and the weekly Saturday brewpub tours are sure to expand the palates and knowledge of Inman Park residents and visitors alike.

A nice place, still crowded as it is very new, beer selection needs to get beefed up a little, but the food is nice and the place is clean.

Iíve been to the Wrecking Bar twice and greatly enjoyed both visits. The ambiance and service were exceptional and the beers were very good. The selection has increased over the last month or so. The food is also quite good!
A welcome addition to the Atlanta beer scene!
