Cool place plenty of potential. Get far too loud on weekends. Wish to see website that would tell you what is on tap. Service was ok , too busy to be court. Kielbasa with sourkraut I had was very good.

Love the atmosphere. German style beer hall makes for great interaction. The sausage and duck fat fries are outstanding. While there are places with more extensive beer selections, they still have a robust collection all of which cater to a beer geek. You know they’re beer lovers given the sign on the wall telling you how many days since the last time they cleaned the tap lines.

Modern decor in a German themed beer hall. I sat at the bar and was served pretty quick. Good selection of beers on tap. The beers were excellent. I don’t recommend the curry wurst. My drinking buddy definitely made a the better choice of a regular bratwurst. The place is rammed on weekend nights.

Probably my favourite place in Toronto, and definitely my most frequented. It purports to be a modern beer-hall, and they achieve it with their long, shared tables and benches, the danging-bulb lighting, and how incredibly loud the place gets. They serve sausages and fries (and even have veg-friendly options), and serve beer in pints and 1L steins (except for the premiums). They have some wine available, and the only hard liquor is bourbon and jäger (both on tap). I’ve often had them screw up my order, but they rectified it promptly (once with a free shot of jäger). Bottled beer prices are exceptionally high, and most of their stock was available at the LCBO at some point. They have a huge number of beers on tap, and none of them are crap. Usually a good selection of lagers, IPAs, and pilsners. They always have at least one dunkellager, hefeweizen, and dunkelweizen on tap. The breweries are usually Ontario based, with a bunch of German, and Dieu du Ciel is almost always available. Only downside is that the place can be incredibly loud sometimes, and it is rather pricy (though cheap for the area).

Neat restaurant/beer bar in Toronto. This is set up as a large communal hall with long tables, lots of open space. There is a counter to make your food orders and then you can sit down and wait for your food (or you can sit at the bar). The annoying thing about the bar was that they only listed the name of the brewer of the beers they had (ie Black Oak, Great Lakes) and you had to ask the brewer which specific beer they had (the other blackboard by the food ordering counter did list the beer name and brewer though). Anyway, the beer list was all local brews, nothing too crazy. The food is really why you come here - specialty sausages (I had the duck which was really good). Prices are typical for the area (ie pricey!). If you’re aiming to try some Canadian local beer and good sausage, this is the stop for you.

Not sure why it took me so long to discover this place. Extremely solid beer selection, and sausage is one of my favourite foods. Plus, cool setting: big communal tables, and an unofficial house rule against popped collars.

Large communial tables greet you. Music was too loud when I was there but blame that on DDC - they supplied the DJ. Menu is reasonably sized and the Wvrst are excellent (Deer Wvrst is the way to go). Good selection of Toronto-area Craft taps and some surprises from Quebec. Couple Great lakes one-offs when I was here. knowledgable staff. Prices are reasonable.

Great place.. long benches and tables, and plenty of food and game sausage choices. About 16 taps for local craft beers and great service.

Great place to go. Not a great BEER place, but a great place. I’m biased, because sausage is my favorite food, and these were some excellent sausages, in a hip environment with a young, lively crowd. But the beer selection was expensive-ish ($8 for a cider?...meh.) and not that deep, though much of it was Canadian and unavailable outside of Canada.
