58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 notalush (283) Denver, Colorado | March 1, 2013 Visited with some colleagues the other day because we were right around the corner on business - total tourist and business man happy hour kind of place (being attached to the Sheraton, this is no surprise) - lots of douchebags in suits and wingtips, with a smattering of tourist families and conference goers (Sheraton is a big conference venue) - the 100 taps wrapped around the bar look impressive, but when you actually read the list, it is extremely unimpressive - you’ll find stuff worth drinking, though (I had a Yeti) - prices are decent for what is essentially a hotel restaurant - food quality is simply so-so, though - lots of televisions - lots of noise - our server was friendly, but sometimes slow, and only seemed to have moderate knowledge of the beer being served - if you’re staying at the Sheraton, hop on in - otherwise, don’t bother. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (567) Columbus, Ohio | December 23, 2012 (Visited 10/2012 during GABF): Yard House is located on Court Place between 15th and 16th downtown.
The interior opens to table seating past the host stand and the bar is beyond that. Dark wood and windows lookout out on the sidewalk. The bar features the many tap handles and has a digital board the scrolls messages, including their "chalkboard beers".
As for the beers they have around 100 on draught featuring mainly larger microbreweries and macros. The aforemantioned "chalkboard" beers rotate though and feature seasonals and rarer stuff. On my visit this included Firestone Walker Oaktoberfest and Breckenridge Stranahan’s Well Built ESB.
Service on our visit was good. Our server was friendly and did a pretty good job explaining the seasonal offerings.
Food at Yard House is consistent across all the locations. Our meals were decent.
Overall this place is kind of off the radar in the Denver beer scene, especially during GABF week but it served as a nice lead-in to our weekend there. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 csaso (133) Missouri | August 6, 2012 Typical Yard House place. Went there a couple of times while in Denver a few weeks ago. Only difference between this Yard House and others, was the service. It was ver inconsistent. First time in, had a GREAT server! Second (and last) time in, had an awful server. Guess you got to take your chances. | 62 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 9/20 Steve_0 (87) Denver, Colorado | February 26, 2012 I was not impressed by this place. Yeah they have over 100 beers on tap, but they are all very common, nothing very unique. The service was OK, and so was the food. If you are huge craft beer geek, like myself, you should just catch the mall ride and head to Falling Rock instead. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 2/10 VALUE 1/10 OVERALL 10/20 Camons (129) Hasselager, Denmark | February 25, 2012 Huge place, part of the sheraton hotel, on the upper part of the 16th street mall. Huge tap list, 80-100, allthough not anything you cant get enywhere. Crappy food, my burger was McD standard. Expesive as well. Do yourself the favor and pass this and use the free mall ride or walk the 10 minutes down to LoDo area where there is plenty of nice places to go | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 10/20 sextjk5 (10) Denver, Colorado | November 27, 2011 The best selection i have ever seen, the Yards of beer are ridiculously expensive, you would think they had to blow the glass and make the bottle in the back room, then poor the drink with the price they charge. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | September 28, 2011 Part of a national chain of 30 similar establishments to date. All steel, glass and dark colors. The gimmick is the number of draft beers, mainly micros. Every kind of food too. Pervasive muzak for the achieving classes to relax to, sung mainly by millionaires. Horribly seductive and done well for what it is. Part of the Sheraton Hotel complex |
