A great all purpose store that has a huge variety of beers and liquor. This place has a slight pioneer days feel despite being in a commercial park type building. The beer selection is broad. The the best out there, but broad. They do have a few rare beers behind the counter. I was also impressed by the bourbon selection. The service is great. Very friendly and knowledgeable folks.
Nice bottle shop. Low key while having a great selection, which is the perfect combo in my book. Located in a kinda office building complex. Parking was fine, but I was there on a Saturday, so the work week could be worse. Ambience is some shelving units and boxes piled everywhere. Good selection of locals, US micros, good foreign selection. Some things are priced, some are not, though the prices seem to be pretty competitive. Things are somewhat disorganized... so be sure to peek behind bottles, and you might find something not apparent. They allow you to pull singles from any six pack, which makes a good store a great store in my mind. The employees were friendly and helpful, though I didnít ask any beer questions. They gave me 10% off for getting more than six bottles. Overall, a very nice stop.
My and a friend were just driving through Frederick and saw this place and decided to stop in to see what they had. I didnít really know what to expect, so I was very pleased when I saw that they have a good selection. There were some Maryland beers that I hadnít seen before, but besides that the selection is pretty standard. Fair pricing, friendly staff, an excellent place to pick up some beer. I didnít buy any food but it looked tasty....
I finally made it to this liquor store today and was pleased with the trip. The store has a good display and setup and there are a lot of beers, wines, and liquors to look through. The service was knowledgeable, friendly and pretty laid back; they offered to order beers/cases by request. The beer selection in particular was very good with a lot of great microbrews in both 12 oz and 22 oz sizes from around the world and locally. Most importantly, they allow you to mix up 6-packs of any type, so long as the bottles arenít form a case. The price was slightly on the high end for Frederick, but not too bad overall. I was quite pleased with the store and will probably be returning regularly.
easy to find store right off the high way... one of the cleanest and most organized stores i have ever seen! lots of local stuff, some rarer belgians, broken sixers and friendly beer knowledgablemajiggy staff (read, nerds)... whatís not to like?
A well stocked store with a decent selection of US micros (which is what, as a visitor, Iím really interested in). And, really essential for a visitor, they had plenty of singles plus you can spilt six packs. Not really very "Ye Olde" though.
This is how a store should be run. i had asked if they had a particular beer cold and they did not. One of the service people that I have talked with before asked if I would like for him to keep a case of this particular beer cold. I think this is outstanding service.
Fairly nice store. Singles everywhere but disorganized, not in one particular area. Not the best selected of Belgians, not a lot of rare gems, but the US micro selected is pretty decent. I guess I was expecting more from the reviews, but I still consider this store to be one of the better ones int the PA/MD/DC area.
