Cool place to hang out and catch a buzz especially when they have bands. Beer is pretty good but lacks selection. Distillery on site as well if you really want to throw down. No food. People often bring their dogs to chill with them while downing a pint - take that at what you will. Overall not too shabby.

"the Garage" is a good name for the atmosphere. Entrance is not so obvious side door by the patio.

Cool garage bay with nobody there, place before and after packed. Amazingly hot bartender, beer not so much.

This place has awesome brews. The people working there are always helpful, nice, and willing to chat. I wish it stayed open later than 8pm!

My favorite brewery to hang out at in Billings, due to its size. YVBC only gets really packed if they’re hosting a concert or fundraiser. Otherwise, there’s typically plenty of room. Nice laid back attitude, friendly people. Should be more available parking now that Enterprise has moved out from next door. I do wish they had more rotating beers, just to keep things fresh. Also, the distillery is now operational.

They serve there beers which all have a similar taste. Not bad beers but have a kind of malt extract taste to them. The Black Widow and Renegade red are the stand outs and both seem to have a heady percentage of alc0hol in them. Sadly theres the 3 pint max in MT Brewerys and youll probably have a long wait in line for them. I do believe the beer has gone up in price to $3.50 a pint. The clientel an eclectic bunch ranging from dirty stinky hippies to locall buisness people to working class. The main attraction to YVBC is the quality of music they bring in. For a converted garage with kegs for benchs and not alot of offerings they kick it up when it comes to quality live music. Deffinatly worth trying to find. P.S. yes looks like a car garage if you’ve looked and can’t find it. Also a nice fenced in patio now.

With only a few minutes before the state-imposed 8pm closing time, samples a bit of each available beer thanks to the friendly barman. Tables were old wire spools and interior had a distince industrial feel (concrete) while outdoors had hop vines crawling up the walls. Very impressive shiny copper distillation towers on their still-to-be-licensed distillery. The stainless steel brewhouse is visible to the rear. Worth checking out, in spite of Montana’s 3-pint per person per day limit. Check out the live music on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s.

Located in a somewhat hard to find garage hooked on to a rent-a-car place. Ambience is somewhat grungy/hippy and very laid back. Beers are always pretty good but they don’t seem to have many new (seasonal) beers, same beers all the time. Can get very crowded at times esp in the summer. Would for sure reccomend

Located behind car rental with garage door entrance. Inside is clean with brewing operations on the right and a bar with stools at the back on the left. Staff is very freindly with good knowledge of brews. They had four beers on tap and I was allowed to sample all, but pints are $2 regularly. Beers were good with the stout as the standout. I got there at opening and stayed for two hours. The crowd grew and filled the inside and a patio/chairs outside. Smoked a cigar outside with a local motorcycle rider and enjoyed the conversation, brews and cigar. Interesting location.
