54 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 9/20
Street corner Nichís a few minutes walk from Angel tube. L-shaped bar, low lighting, trad pub interior and usually doing a brisk business but rarely packed.
Middle of the table in terms of this chain, standard house casks -Doom, Pride, St Austells Nichs Pale, Trumans Runner plus a couple of SIBA offerings on my 09/01/15 visit, Woodfordes and Copper Dragon so forgive me if I dont cum with excitement. You pass by this place if you walk from Angel to the Earl of Essex. pass by usually the norm for me but you may pick up the odd cask tick.

58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20
Just stopped by for a quick beer on my way to Angel from Earl of Essex on a Sunday afternoon. Standard pub with okay service. The selection is basically the same as in all other Nicolsonís with an exception or two and they only had one new beer for me.

A Nicholsonís pub worthy of a visit and close to the commercial centre of Islington on Upper Street. Itís nicely decorated inside in traditional style, although youíll experience little of this if the football is on as this is a popular place to either drink in before or watch the action on the big screen. The real ale selection is good as expected from this chain.
