The York Tap is conveniently located in York train station. For me this is the best looking of the "Tap" pub chain and probably one of the best looking bars in the world! It has been gloriously refurbished to a traditional style. The bar is circular which is also rather cool. Plenty of taps with interesting Northern English & Scottish beer on. Pretty decent bottle selection as well. Just a great place all-round. A must visit in York.

Handily located at the train station (plus it opens quite early), it would be quite understandable if you went to this pub and didnít venture into the city. Such is the range of beers on offer, one could spend hours here. One of the best pubs in York on my visit.

Often 35 beers on tap and keg, bringing the best from Yorkshire, England , and the rest of the world. Can get busy at rush hour, but a world class bar.

Great huge dobbel bar with a huge selection of cask and bottles. Missed the wifi. Very nice service. Had several nice local ales.

Best pub in "The Tap" range, always nice atmosphere, good bar staff and good beers on hand & electric inc. bottles from around the world. Always lucky on my visits and find Oakham beers on, yum!

Op het station van York in een prachtig houten gebouw met uitzicht over de perrons. Een mooie verzameling tap bieren en zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Jammer dat het qua eten blijft bij sandwiches en kleine pieís.

Renovated part of York Railway Station previously used as a Model Railway shop, large selection of beer and lagers on cask, bottle and tap. A great excuse to change trains at York!

A superb conversion into a pub within York Station, it has a light and open feeling despite being in the covered area, you also get the feeling of being within a busy area. The beer range is excellent with choices for everyone. We both thoroughly enjoyed our first visits here.

First visited on 10th December 2012. Impressive conversion in a part of the historic station buildings, and only a two minute dash to the platform. The beer range is the best in the city, offering an eclectic choice of hand pulled, keg and bottled beers from all over the world. Definitely not to be missed when in York, and one worth missing the train for!

cool location inside the train station, which i enjoyed sitting out on the patio and watching trains come in. however I wasnít impressed by no Wifi, halves were a higher price than half a pint for some beers. beer condition was mediocre- I donít know if it was meant to be this flat. I will say beer was much warmer than I experienced in other parts of the UK
