Yeah, finally had to re-rate this place. It was solid when I first went a few years ago. Now itís just awesome. Solid single selection of locals, tons of Belgian, Scandinavian and German brews. A lot of random US micros I donít see at other shops. Staff is always helpful and knows what they are doing.

Zippís is an awesome craft beer store. They almost always have what I am in for, and the store is well layed out. I wouldnít say it is #1 for craft beer stores in the TC, but it is definitely top 10.

Great beer-oriented liquor store. Thereís two walls of coolers in addition to a couple of aisles filled with international and limited offerings. I spent a good 30 minutes perusing the selection and was asked several times if I needed assistance. Prices seemed quite solid. Overall, this is a place that does things right. Recommended.

Looks run down from the outside, but the inside is standard. Helpful staff offered to break down anything for build-a-six and talked me through some of their cellared beer. Some singles seemed marked up a higher percentage than others, but mostly were about $2 a bottle.

Large liquor store not far from U of M campus. Kind of off putting, as you enter through a prison-like double door entrance and with the clerks in a large raised sort of cage area. Anyway, the service is very good. The beer manager, Shaughn, was able to answer all my questions. The selection is extensive. with a lot of MN and Midwest brews that might be hard to find elsewhere. Some good bargains here and there and also some cellared stuff, vintages, etc. I stop here every time Iím in the Twin Cities.

This is definitely one of my favourite beer stores in the Twin Cities. Loads of interesting stuff including a wide selection of Belgians and cellared beer. Spacious. Decent service.

An amazing liquor store. Looks so disappointing at first... but I walked away so happy. Amazing selection... Great value. One of the twin cities top beer stores.

Located near downtown Minneapolis close to Iím guessing Univ. of Minnesota. They have a small lot next to the store so, if you have a choice, bring your smallest car. The vibe screams "college liquor store" which is confirmed by there separate fridge for 40s. They have a huge selection of local and domestic craft sections with rarities and a large pick 6 section. Plus a lot of it is refridgertated. They also offer a 10% discount for a mixed 6. The service was also cordial which you donít expect in a college liquor store.

Visited November 2011.

This place looks like it belongs in a much crappier neighborhood. The people hidden in the cage/booth thing where all the liquor is, the abundance of tall cans up front, I was prepared to be let down... but I wasnt. I spent probably an hour walking around checking out the selection. Cool place over all. I picked up a couple of imports that CA hadnt gotten by that point plus a bunch of locals that I had never heard of before. I also picked up copious amounts of Surly Wet and some regional malt liquors.

It was pretty late when I got there so I really didnt interact much with the service. Prices were reasonable. Will return when Iím in town for RBSG in a month.
