Best choice for beer lovers in Prague. 21 local brews on tap, mainly from micros and brewpubs, plus 3 international brands. Sampled Tambor 11° and 12°, Poutnik 12°, Kacov 12° and Vyskov IPA, all in top conditions. Prices ranging between 26 Kc and 45 Kc. Classic pub food and snacks. Friendly and helpful staff, English spoken. I’ll definitely go back.

Das Beste in Prag. Hat immer über 20 Biere aus aller Welt frisch vom Zapfhahn. Ausserdem viele weitere Biere aus der Flasche. Ständig wechselnde Sorten. Ausserdem gibts es hier gutes Essen für kleine Preise. Allerdings alles nur auf Snackebene. Man kann aber gut von satt werden. Direkt nebenan ist ein Biershop mit vielen Flaschenbieren aus aller Welt zu guten Preisen! Ein muss bei jedem Pragbesuch.

Great beer bar in the basement (plus there is a winter garden, which unfortunately isn’t smoke-free). Very large rotating selection of beers on tap. Mostly Czech breweries/micros, but also German ones (they had Schlenkerla Kräusen and Mahr’s Festtags-Weiße when we were there - beers you rarely find even in Germany). Apart from the 24 taps, there is a large selection of bottled beers from abroad sitting in several fridges in the main room - we did not check if there were more elsewhere. Food included typical Czech bar snacks, which we did not try because kitchen had already closed when we got hungry. Very reasonably priced, though maybe not by Czech standards. Staff did not seem to speak a lot of English, but with a few words of Czech and some sign language, everything worked out fine. And don’t save up the most interesting beer for last - chances are that that’s the one that runs out before you finally want to order it!

Would love to go back at some point. Was difficult to find from public transport, but could be due to user error! Great pub, and were friendly to a non-Czech speaking beer tourist. Dinging them for the selection, because it seemed like they were out of a lot of stuff while I was there. Would go back to again!

Super little place, a little off the tourist trail in a cellar. About 20 taps mainly with different czech micros, what is on is on A4 sheets over the bar which would imply they change regularly. Didn’t have the food. Staff are friendly, and really keen to help. Place is obscenely cheap.

For the moment, the best pub in Praha! First time I visited Zly Casy was in 2009. Since then, the amount of draught beers on tap has exploded (and the toilet facilities has also improved) The beer range is fantastic! All kind of new beer from small obscure Czech breweries, and even two from Mahrs, Bamberg. Excellent service and the staff know their beers. The tap range is displayed on "beer cards" above the bar. You can also read about the beers in a booklet. During my second visit, at Saturday night, I met by chance Max Bahnson, The Pivni Filosof. What a day! (Visited 23. and 25th February 2012)

Without doubt the best pub in Praha! Great service, great atmosphere, non-smoking section (by the bar and best room in the pub), garden for hot summer days, great food (even for me who aint a big fan of Czech cuisine, but here it is really done well and goes so well with the brews), easy to find, ten minutes by tram for city center and of really great assortment of around 24 excellent draft brews. My only gripe with this place is that it´s hard at times to get a table...

Summer 2011. Small underground pub about 15 minutes by car outside the city center. Upon entering at street level, you walk down a rather seedy looking staircase before reaching the pub below. I have to admit, at first glance, I regretted bringing my wife there, as I could tell she was put off by the appearance. Communication was a bit of a challenge, as the bartender spoke no English and I no Czech, so we were pretty much limited to pointing and nodding. There is smoking allowed (at least it wasn’t stopped when I was there), which I detest, but it wasn’t too bad until it started to get crowded. The selection was very solid, if not a bit daunting for someone unfamiliar with the various Czech micros they had on draft. Overall, it’s a must visit when in Prague, and I’d definitely go back.

Nice selection of.draught Czech beers from craft breweries and some international beers in bottles. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. I didn’t try food there, I need to have space in my stomach for beer. Top location in Prague.

A beer-focused bar well-known for supplying small and medium sized craft beer on tap only, as members of the P.I.V. Alliance (www.aliancepiv.cz) do. The lower portion is smoke-free though the cloud does waft in from up the stairs, but for the Czech Republic you have to give these guys credit for trying, at least. Beer selection is outstanding, with 0.3 and 0.5L pours available, as is standard. Zly Casy should be considered the top bar in Prague, but further down the ratebeer list is the equally-impressive Kulovy Blesk, closer to the city center and train station, and also a P.I.V. Allieance member. You can’t go to Zly Casy without hitting Kulovy Blesk as well.
