A beer-focused bar well-known for supplying small and medium sized craft beer on tap only, as members of the P.I.V. Alliance (www.aliancepiv.cz) do. The lower portion is smoke-free though the cloud does waft in from up the stairs, but for the Czech Republic you have to give these guys credit for trying, at least. Beer selection is outstanding, with 0.3 and 0.5L pours available, as is standard. Zly Casy should be considered the top bar in Prague, but further down the ratebeer list is the equally-impressive Kulovy Blesk, closer to the city center and train station, and also a P.I.V. Allieance member. You can’t go to Zly Casy without hitting Kulovy Blesk as well.

Lovely beer bar tucked away in the non touristificated area of Nusle south of the city center. It’s possible to walk here from tube station Vysehrad, but the easiest way is to take tram 11 from Muzeum or IP Pavlova. It stops more or less outside the door. There’s an excellent beer garden at the back of the building. But the heart of the place is the basement bar. Just follow the sound downstairs and take at seat at one of the small wooden tables or at the bar. Beer? Yes, 24 ever rotating taps, mainly with beer from small Czech brewers, you’ve never heard of most of them and you won’t be able to pronounce some of them. 3 or 4 imported draught beers as well. On my visit late July 2011 there were several new beers on every evening. Bottle selection isn’t huge, but the quality and mix is quite impressive. Service is friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable. Food is a bit different, but quite nice. In short, this is a must visit and worth a trip from tourist Prague.

An excellent underground bar in Prague with an amazing selection of Czech beers on tap and a very friendly, helpful staff. They had about 20 different Czech beers on tap, and provided detailed descriptions, partially in English. The beers were quite good and well-priced. The bar was in the basement and was fairly informal with an inviting, friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit, and I would love to go again. I did not try the food.

Largest selection of small czech breweries under the same roof in Prague. Always very crowded so try to go early. They have now a separate room for smoking upstairs which is a plus for the ambiance. Service is not very rapid, at least when you order at the bar, and not very friendly for non-czech people. It’s the only reason why I don’t give them a perfect score. Still, a great bar.

Outside city center of Prague, enter this place it’s kind of smokey, but when walking down the stairs a nice brown interrior and cellar/dungeon kind of bar is what is to be found, no to less smoke here. The staff didn’t speak any English or German, but with some hands and words in all languages we got our drinks. Ok selection of Czech micro’s. The food smelled good, but we didn’t have any. Prices are normal (for Czech standards). Guess this is the best beer bar in Czech, it was a refreshment in between all those Bohemian Pilsners and Pils/Lagers. Nice to have visit this place.

Super beerbar, both a beer garden and a cozy barebrick wall bar in the cellar. 24 taps, mostly with Czech microes, but also german weizen and De Molen stout on when we visited. Huge bottle list aswell, American, German, Dutch, Danish and others. Very nice english speaking service, good atmosphere, good value for money aswell

Nicely decorated bar when you enter it eventually in the basement. Large selection from tap as well as imported US, Belgian, Dutch and UK beers. Very nive waiters that offer a quick handling of your order. Prices are very good value

Nice atmosphere in this old cellar pub. The selection has to be one of the best in Czech Republic. Lots of czech beers but also internationals. Around ten different beers on tap. The service was kind of strange, but I think it was due to the staffs limited english.

Absolutely the best place in Prague and without a doubt worth the tram ride out to check this place out. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable service, and wonderful beer all on tap. Went here with my girlfriend and had a phenomenal time, but I could also see going here with my boys and getting drunk off of the best Czech beer you can find. Awesome.
