Ok I expected a good beer selection, but this was far beyond what I was expecting to see. Do yourself a favor and seek this place out when you are in town. They really know what they are doing here and beer cuts across all languages. The big suprise was the bottle selection, excellent range of American, Belgian, Dutch Danish and Norwegian Craft brews.
The big suprise was the food, now I am not going to say to order the steak here (don’t!) but do get the schnitzel (which was very good) or anything that comes with their Potato Salad, it was the best either of us have ever had, and my Mom makes a killer potato salad! Didn’t expect that, nice job.
Very reasonable, 3 beers and two schnitzels for 301kc. But I blew the budget in their Bottle Shop, but that is another review. Thanks to The Irish Beer Nuts, Max & Evan for sharing in our session. A wonderful way to spend a cloudy windy cool day in Prague.

The best bar in the Czech Republic?? Zly Casy is well worth the short metro ride out of the city centre. The entrance is fairly non-descript and after travelling down one flight of stairs into a dingy hall the cellar bar lies beyond red velvet curtains. Inside there was a small, but atmospheric bar with 20ish taps all with A4 page descriptions (brewer, %, EBU etc) of each of the beers. The great thing is that on tap they keep it pretty much Czech only, so you see some microbrewed stuff that is only available here. I found the Kocour brewery beers to be by far the most interesting and tasty on my visit. The bottle selection is extensive and full of good international craft and classic beers (Brewdog, De Molen to St Bernardus). The food was also good - proper traditional Czech grub invented to soak up beer!

Well out of the way but a great mix of authentic and modern. Cellar bar with a fine range of Czech draft beers and dozens of imports that vary in quality from world’s best to ordinary but includes De Molen, Brewdog and Struise Brouwers on my visit (curried favor was not on the menu, though).

Worn in cellar pub in the less touristy parts of Prague. Like a treasure chamber where you’ll find all the Czech microbrews you never thought existed.

Probably the best selection of any pub in Prague, and a proper pub atmosphere rather than some pretentious "beer bar". Great place for a post work session.

Probably the best selection of beers between Denmark and Portland. Lots of great things on tap. Basically a rathole, though, and tough to get service, although not any worse than usual in Prague, and they tried. Somehow this place was less fun than it shuld have been for us, though it is of course amazing in its slection.

Rerate after visit on 17 July 2012. Even better this time, 12 new taps at the entrance floor, with great beers from Matuska, Mahrs and De Molen. Extremely cheap when you come from Sweden, and most beers are very enjoyable. World Class!
Old rating: 88.Such a great place. A bit outside the Prague centrum. Best way to get there is by tram from Muzeum. Make sure you go all the way down the basement, thats where all the beer is. 22 czech microbrews on tap when I visited, think there was room for three more. Beer was in good condition and service was good. 0,3 lirets of good beer cost less than 1 euro, amazinf if you ask me. Good food at very nice pices as well. By far the best place in Prague.
