Very good selection of beers from Czech Republic. Lower floor has better ambiance. Service is OK but bartender from ground floor was not so freindly

Great place! You can find many type of beers. They have a lot of small breweries beers. On menu writes: who makes this beer and recipe, which ingredients had been used in beers (type of hops, malt, yeast...), style of beers...

Spent my last night in Prague here and I wish I’d spent every night here. Easy to find in a more residential neighborhood outside of the tourist core. Easy tram ride though. Three floors, three bars with all different taps. Bottles also available on the top floor and bottom floor. Outdoor patio open until 9pm. We aspired to try the food, but the kitchen closes early. It was very crowded for a thursday night, and the crowd in the beer hall portion on the 2nd floor was very rowdy. The staff is very friendly and English wasn’t a problem. Selection is excellent. Fairly wide ranging for Prague, tons of Matuska. Prices are excellent. When we return to Prague, this could be the night cap every night.

They got everything they serve on tap. Czech and beers from abroad. Not that much, probably all good. Brown cellar, some tourists but mostly locals having their lunch break. Interior looks cosy, and the music was good when the bartender didn’t pick up his phone (GNR). About that bartender: this was by far the most impolite one I had seen in Prague. He wasn’t friendly, translating the menu was reluctantly and some explanations were asked too much. He said he had no time, but there was no one at that moment. The food was OK for the price. The prices are good, food is cheap as in more bars in Prague. Too bad the service was that bad, because apart from the location this could have been an interesting stop in our trip to Prague.

Fantastic bar, outside of the touristy areas. Went on a weekday at around 7pm. While most of the tables had little reservation slips, we were lucky to get a small table for two on the lower level. This is the odd part: we were there for a few hours and the place was 1/2 to 3/4 empty, even though several groups of people left because there were no ’open’ tables (tables that weren’t reserved). I don’t quite understand why one of the best bars/restaurants would want to keep half the place empty. Other than that, I drunk a ton of beers that I had never heard of before, we got a few of the appetizers piled with deep fried goodies and left with a tab with an equivalent of ~ $15 USD. Great, attentive service, the waitresses knew the tap list really well and the small pours really let you sample a lot of the tap list. Well worth the short tram ride out of the center city.

A lot of taps with Czech beers and a good selection of bottles. Food was OK. This place has three levels. You get in from the top level and there are two levels downstairs. I liked the two lower levels, they were cozier (not spacious but "warmer" for your eyes).

Zly Casy is unparallelled in Praha in terms of selection. Last time I was there they had 36 beers on tap. Now I believe there’s 12 more? Anyhow, no way anyone can get through that list in an evening. For exploring beers you never heard of, excellent place. Also, never been served anything that seemed out of condition. The upstairs is open until 2AM which is a great plus for me. Decent beer after midnight is hard come by in Praha. The food is ok, but nothing special. Ambiance downstairs great, upstairs ok. Mostly good to excellent service. The owner deserves a medal for being a beacon of beer enlightenment to us poor sods who once thought Staropramen was a good brewery.

If you don’t have time to get out of Prague and seek out countryside Czech brews yourself, this bar will give you a whirlwind tour through its many taps of both obscure and well-established microbreweries. The basement is where it’s at though for that amazing Czech beer list. Czech-style country music was playing too when we were there, which was highly entertaining. Unless you plan on coming around time of opening, make sure you have reservations.

Place that has an upper and lower bar, best selection in Czech Rep. Lower bar is better, a bit harder to find but keep going once inside and you’ll get there. Everything is reserved, as usual our waiter told us. We were still able to grab a table before dinner for a few pints. One of the few places we’ve been too that had Czech music playing (country-ish) so that was cool. Prices were good, didn’t try the food. Waiter was kind and spoke good english. Easy to get to by tram. A top notch place.

Cracking pub with a ridiculous number of taps. It’s a wee trek from the tourist trail but well worth the time. There’s an upstairs and downstairs that sell conflicting beers. The majority of taps are Czech micro and not particularly interesting but there’s also gems ahoy. The food is alright. I’ve eaten there a few times and it’s great value but sometimes they throw you a curveball. Zly Casy translates to ’Bad Times’. I love that. This pub is a cracker.
