Ambiente fantastico e la migliore alt di Dusseldorf!!!

Great place serving probably the best Alt in the World. Actually managed to get a seat on my last visit, but it was Sunday. If you can’t even get in the building, because of the crowds, take up a position outside, or across the road where they have heaters and an outside bar.

Awesome pub/brewery with a beautiful copper brewhouse and giant open fermentors. Really cool interior with lots of rooms sporting unique intricate woodwork and various paintings. If you get a brewery tour you can go to the top floor and check out the coolship overlooking the city and then make your way down to the lagering cellars and they even have a distillery next to the bottling line now. Very traditional brewing and a very good beer that is one of the most bitter you are likely to find in Germany. This place is pure awesomeness. They even scrapped together some very nice vegetarian and vegan food for my group at lunch.

How do you rate the selection at a bar whose beer sets the simple standard than is never bettered. How should you rate the service at a place where three waiters lift each up-ended wooden cask to the bar counter after broaching? How can you rate the food in a bar where a pickled egg needs to be prepared with such precision before consumption or the minced raw porkand onion are just vehicles for the mustard? Seven rooms and an ever-growing outside zone. How do you rate unique and world tour standard?

Who cares that they don’t do full meals? Who cares that they only do one beer? (unless you count the Weizenbier, which is really only for Bavarians and others who don’t know any better) This is a great place to drink and Uerige Alt is a great beer. It’s hardly surprising that they have expanded to take over a large area outside; Dusseldorfers do seem to know their beer.

Best altbier of the city. Period.

was lucky enough to be there with ruffian on sticke day. Atmosphere is trully awesome! There must have over 1000 people in the pub and on the street. Incredibly easy downing huge amount of beer in no time, it resulted in a headache when I woke up. THE place in Dusseldorf

The finest multi roomed beer tavern in the world IMO. I’m not marking it down on beer selection as you don’t have far to walk to hundreds of other pubs in Dusseldorf’s Altstadt area. The choice here is the freshest beer you’ll ever taste with no stale alternatives. Always busy and bustling, it’s fascinating to watch the staff frequently rolling fresh or emty casks of alt to and from the numerous serving points around this laberinth. Food is limited to simple snacks to soak up the delicious beer. A must do.

Great place - very friendly locals and staff. Great atmosphere. Food is snacks only, though they’re quite good. The best alt in Dusseldorf I think. It’s not difficult to drink a lot of beer very quickly! Update: this is going up my list with a bullet. Made a fairly brief, early afternoon visit here and the beer was in amazing form. The building is beautifully serene when it’s quiet, with efficient, knowing, reserved, manly service. And wow, that beer!

Fantastic place with lots of different small rooms that makes it cosy. Old wooden benches with dark brown interiour. Played even "ompa ompa" music wich was great. Ordered ground meet, ok snack with the beer. Best bar i’ve been in for a long time.....
