On weekend in Germany with my girlfriend went there along a large typical German brewpub there was a beer on tap their own alt pity that was only water or apple juice fore the bob but its it was ok good place to drinks beers
Delightful maze of passages and stained-glass-lit rooms of all shapes and sizes. Had the privilege of seeing the arrival of a new barrel - that was fun, seeing it lifted onto the bar by 3 hefty waiters. Beer was tasty, but not fantastic. Service was at least adequate. But a must-visit place because of what it is, and its character and history.
Made mistake to visit this on a Saturday with Chrstmas market ongoing. Too crowdy. But they serve German style food and decent beer, so what more. Could do with bit more service, but contribute that to the crowd.
The most visually appealing out of the four traditional Dusseldorf brewpubs, lots of wood, stained glass and other decorations, crafted and compiled with a love for detail. Our waiter however was an arrogant buffoon who walked away with a pretentious facial expression without saying a word after I inquired politely for the availability of their Sticke. I had to inquire a different guy at the bar - that one was actually nice and informative. The beer itself was a total letdown. The fermentation process must have got out of hand and the beer was full of diacetyl and fruit esters. For a brewpub with such traditions and such a reputation to serve such flawed beer is simply unacceptable. Would visit again only to fetch some bottles for takeaway. From a different batch of course.
Swietne miejsce, klimat i atmosfera. Sporo pomieszczen, szybka i mila obsluga. Sporo zadowolonych ludzi. Jedzenie dobre, tradycyjne i smaczne. Piwo wiadomo klasyczne.
Visited on Good Friday 2015. This is a huge place, really a lot of guests both outside and inside. I liked the traditional German interior, you can’t go wrong with that. The Uerige Alt was the best one that I had during my visit to Düsseldorf. Very nice location in Altstadt, really close to Füschen, Kürzer and Schlüssel. I kind of like their cocky slogan: "andere sind nur Alt"
