Another world classic; the best Alt in the world? Certainly one of the best. Here it is the wood that makes it good; barrels of alt flowing and being pulled up from the cellar. Food was ok; just had some beer snacks. Great atmosphere with people hanging out on the street outside. Top place to visit in town.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon. Very short walking distance from Schlüssel, Füschen and Kürzer. Huge traditionnal Altbier place. Weird division that seems to reduce the quality of the ambiance (less interactions). Service was rather quick and not too rude. Selection, like in all those places, is quite limited to mainly their Altbier. It seems there might be another cask available, but it wasn’t on the menu when we went. Uerige Alt is quite good. We didn’t try the food. Price are in line with other Altbier places in Düsseldorf. It’s certainly worth a visit when in the city, but I prefered Schumacher for both the beer and the ambiance.

Nice pub serving the tastiest altbier in town - I could actually taste the hops in this one. If you only have time to visit one make this it.

Traditional alt place, quite big. It can get very crowded. Service is a little better than most typical places. The alt is a little above average, so it’s definitly Worth a visit and maybe a second glass.

Stopped in and had a couple of beers here. I liked the alt here quite a bit, looked around inside and had beer at a standing table outside. Good time and the alts are excellent drinking.

Smack downtown Düsseldorf, all these places are easy walking distance from one another. Nice vintage german place, not quite the same beer hall feel as the others, the interior seems more divided but it is still quite large. The service was kind by German city standards, we even got some english. The beer is one of the good Alts, and they have some other beers there as well. Typical prices and food menu.

This was my last stop in my Alt tour of Dusseldorf. Authentic looking German beer hall with a great alt. You don’t go here for a selection, you go here to drink some Uerige Alt. Great atmosphere, drunken guys singing in the bathroom, ample space outside to grab a drink, extremely attentive service.

Great place to experience Alt. The family followed me to get afew beers, and we all grabbed a quick snack. Great ambiance - the Köbes (excuse the Köln/ Düsseldorf misnomer!) rolled a new keg anf hoisted it up on the bar while we were there - Awesome!

Very traditional almost gothic wooden panelled Altbier Halle. Several rooms and dim lighting make it a bit like a rabbit warren and it is quite atmospheric. Good location in Altstadt. 2 beers available. Satisfactory service. Nicest place so far in Dusseldorf.

Visited 02/2014, GC Tour de Rheinländle. Best Alt in town (apart from Schumacher’s spectacular seasonal 1838), served in multi-parlour brewpub, full of character and an indicator that a local beerstyle matters to a city’s inhabitants. On the verge of filling up to capacity before a game anytime, easy to strike up a conversation with OAP locals or far-traveled tourists. Stickum neighbours next door always worth visiting during daytime to catch a few Sticke/Doppelsticke.

The room I was in was pretty cool. Right next to the Brauhaus. You could smell the malt. Wooden everywhere with paintings on the wall. Waiter served me right away. Can’t complain. Empty wooden kegs were being rolled past me. Very cool atmosphere. €1,90 for ,25 L
