02.02.2014. Ok. I changed the name on this place from Zur Quelle to Tiergarten Quelle. I ran in to another place kalled Zur Q and I dont see why this place has been given that name. Ther is a big sign on this building that says Tiergarten Quelle. Inside there was a lot of people. Lively place, but they dont have to many taps. I had some beers from Lemke, but the waiter could not help me identify what the correct beernames was. So I dont know what I had there...!

Beer is from a Berlin Beer-Pub - nice beergarden in good ambiance.

Not to be confused with the old boozer Zur Quelle near the Paulaner in Moabit. Not hard to find if you’re getting right out of the S-Bahn, but if you’re coming from the U-Bahn, might help to find an intersection. Something totally new to me: their Biergarten is located on the other side of a busy street, so the waitress carried out the two big plates of food, hit the automatic signal, and waited with the food there until the light changed before crossing to deliver the food! Place inside is a bit gritty but pretty cool, would be fun to blow a few hours here with friends - much more of a serious drinking den than a taster’s choice. Feel the rumble of the trains overhead and underfoot; check the old ceiling itself; check the rows of Schultheiss Bierdeckel lining the walls, autographed and decorated by patrons. Great out-of-the-way bar.

This is a bit confusing, I spent at least 20 minutes wandering around the housing block at Bachstrasse 6 without finding anything close to a bar. Then I looked to the other side of the street and ... there it was. The place is actually called Tiergarten Quelle and it seems to be located on Bachstrasse 482. On their webpage they state no 6, but if you look at the picture, the number above the door says 482. Well .. whatever the number, it’s located in the railway arch just outside S-bahn station Tiergarten. Inside there’s a lot of rustic wooden furniture and the railway arch gives it a kind of cosy, grotty feel. They had two Lemke beers and one Schultheiss on tap. Service was friendly and efficient. It’s not really in the main tourist area, so it’s mainly inhabited by locals from the residential area across the street. Quite slow at our visit in the afternoon, but it started to get crowded when we left. Didn’t try the food, but it looked good and plentiful. Worth a visit if you’re in the area, but most of the beers are available in other places.

the place is cool and have not changed since 1973 and close at 1 o clock, easy to access since it is under the train line, s-bahn Tiergarten, the line is above the ground, typical in Berlin. The beer is from Brauerei Lemke, but the good thing, it is unusual to find that bier, it tastes good and they have a seasonal choice together with Schultheiss, the last times ; bavarian style for october fest, then they had a helles bock beer and dunkles helles bock the 3 last times i went... Dishes are huge, smoking allowed outside and in smoking aera, service is berlin, efficient not always very friendly. Great place, not the greatest choice, but for a time to time experience... Reserve, it is always full and they have a special room for groups and party.
